Free agency

Janoris Jenkins. .....CB
Matt Moore..............QB
Brandon Mebane.....DT

Draft

Tenn-Tunsil..........OT
Browns-Goff.........QB
SD-Bosa...............DE

DAL- Myles Jack. .........LB
Cleveland took Goff and felt Wentz was to high at 4 do we take best player available and add a playmaker to the middle of our defense. With Jack and Lee we have the LBs that can play the run and pass. Lee would be a great mentor for Jack and also help with turnovers. Instant upgrade

Round 2
DAL- Josh Doctson.........WR
We stick with best player available and grab a playmaker at WR. Doctson can really help open things up and with him and Dez on the field at the same time it will really cause nightmares in the secondary. Too many times teams played single coverage and we failed to make them pay. Williams and Beasley will got to 3rd and 4th on depth chart to give us a deep receiving core.

Round 3
DAL- Kenneth Dixon. ........RB
Dixon would really give us a complete back to pair with McFadden, Turbin and Dunbar. He can do it all as a runner and behind our line I see great production even as a rookie. Also will give us a quality starter if McFadden goes back to injury status.

Round 4
DAL- Miles Killebrew........SS
Church and Wilcox were terrible this season, we found our FS in Jones this past season so we grab a SS that can become a starter. Safety has been an issue for some time now and we need better play. I think Killebrew can help change that and pair with Jones.

Comp Round 4
DAL- Lloyd Carrington. .......CB
Again we go secondary with our comp pick. Our DBs have struggled getting INTs but adding Jenkins in free agency and Carrington in the draft we are putting the right foot forward and correcting that issue.

Many people want a QB and thought about a mid rounder to develop but stayed to drafttek board and took best available. I would look at Marquis Williams from NC as a young guy to develop. Next season QB would be my number 1 need in a draft that looks to be deeper then this year.

I like this too but people should be quiet about Killebrew. I say this jokingly as I am sure every draft nerd in the country will be well aware of him following the combine and definitely every professional scout will be aware of him.

I love the way you filled 3 holes in F.A. and made a major splash at CB which is needed. I love the way you filled the QB need without requiring a premium draft pick. I think all 5 of your draft picks would contribute in the first year and you addressed DT which is a huge need. The icing on the cake is that you took Jack at no 4 which I think will be a great pick.

Who are some of the QBs coming out next year that makes you believe that it will be a deeper class? Watson's one, but everyone else seems pretty pedestrian. Also, if Watson performs as expected, we won't have a chance in hell of drafting him. Who's #2? Kayaa?

And if we don't take a QB high this year, one name I'd keep in mind is Driskel. I've been intrigued with this kid for a few weeks now as a mid round developmental guy. Everyone's aware of his nightmarish time with the Gators, but he really does have tools worth developing. Brugler also had some interesting comments about him and how one scout went on to say that he's the best leader he's seen in a decade. Sounds a bit like a RKG to me.

Would be really happy with this. Not going to lie I let everyone who keeps screaming QB get in my head. The QBs this draft ain't worth the 4th pick.

QB need was not in shape or fashion filled.
This insures continued losing

I followed the board and didn't reach or over draft a QB. Romo should be much more healthy plus Matt Moore has starting experience and a capable backup, Kellen Moore showed some good things but still needs more work and would like to see how Showers progress has came. Plus I also would look into Williams from UNC. Plenty of guys there to develop and a capable backup.

You are looking for a starter not someone to develop down the road. Sorry but you aren't finding 2 starters at QB when is hard to find one. Kellen, Williams and Showers are young and can develop.

Plus we need talent at all levels. Jack, Ramsey, Bosa etc. Are blue chip guys that can change a team. Every QB in this class looks to struggle if not developed. Personally I would use a mid to late pick to develop a guy. We still have Showers and Kellen that with time can start

Im not sure about Watson as a NFL guy yet. Kelly will be in next years, but I see him as a similar level prospect to what is out year with Goff Wentz and Lynch

I agree 100%. Also listening to Talkin Cowboys, Cowboys break, and the Draft show it seems like a mid round QB is more to be expected then at 4.

I'm not sure about Watson either, but his name seems to be the hot name at the moment so I figured I'd include it. Point is, if people think this current batch of QB prospects is somewhat weak, next year's is going to be that much worse imo.

If our front office has a high grade on one of these kids, take him (even if it means reaching a bit) cause it might be a while before we find ourselves in this situation again.

Agreed. I think Watson, Kelly and Kayaa could be the only 3 with day 1 or 2 grades next year.

This year if we pass on a QB in the 1st, we still have options in the 2nd and even 3rd round

4life ,first off I appreciate your effort in creating this mock its whats drives this board, however
the grading system isnt meant to be a mathematical formula but a guide in slotting players.
When you come to drafting a QB those numbers become skewed because of the enormous
difference in value between QB and any other position on the team.

If you take a computerized formulaic approach to any draft in terms of QB need you might
select a damn good pass rusher but another team with QB needs right behind you gets
the QB with a slightly lower rating. If both pass rusher and QB are great at their job
guess who wins more games. You know the pass rusher must spend a year or so
maturing into the job himself.

Patrick Mahomes will be a Jr. next season and is better right now then all these 3 IMO, although I will take Wentz as I hope we don't have a top 5 pick again.

He's a mix between Russell Wilson and Rothlesberger and has pocket presence, can move, and has a cannon.

Im not talking slightly lower. If the Cowboys decide a QB is best available grab him. Personally I see guys in the top 10 more talent by a wide margin compared to the QBs.

Also guys tend to rise. RG3 wasn't expected as a number 2 pick until almost the end of the season. He rocketed up draft boards as well as some other QBs........before people tell me how Griffen turned out
