I have seen Snacks push a single blocker right back into the QB causing him to not be able to step up and get sacked by the DE. Yes Snacks helps pass rush.
Nah. Most every DT will win a rep like that once in a while. The Texans and Lions were two of the worst passrushing teams in the league lol.

Sacks Per Game: Texans 25th, Lions 30th
Win Rate: Texans 27th, Lions 32nd

None of the teams who use those guys have top pass rushes.

Link? That's heavily influenced by draws and QB runs anyways.

And yes, they were fine. They were 8th in y/a.

Football Outsiders advanced stats had their run D 15th. Their run D between the OGs and C was 18th.

I wouldn't say their run stunk like some opine, but it wasn't really great either. It was............. blah.

I guess I'd say that, for a run defense in the NFL, fine and blah are basically the same lol.

They had a couple games that were really poor that made it look worse than it actually was, too.

ROUND1
Javon Kinlaw DT South Carolina

Team him up and let him compete with Crawford for the start. Good vs the run and the pass. Quick off the snap Needs to develop his technique some but has the tools to be a force as a rookie. Is better in shorter space. Is almost unblockable when lined up over the center.

ROUND2
Albert Okwuegbunam TE Missouri

Big and Athletic with speed for a TE to hit the seams. Good enough to battle it out with Jarwin for the start.

ROUND3
Lavert Hill CB Michigan

Really good corner to plug into the slot. Makes plays on the ball and isnt affraid to mix it up on tackles.

ROUND4

WR who fits in the slot and is a strong for the types of routes the slot runs. Not to menton he has speed to stretch the field.

Couple of questions. Both Jarwin and Woods are restricted... why would you offer either a long term contract at this point. Neither, especially Woods are not guaranteed a spot next year and most certainly in 2021. Why offer either Cobb or Forbath anything other than a 1 year contract. Cobb is on his last leg and Forbath is replaceable at best. Ogbah has been a bust in 2 places now. It was McCarthy's decision to jettison Clinton-Dix to the skins for a 4th round pick. Why would he want to bring him here. Love the 1st and 3rd pick. The TE has been criticized with being stiff but I could live with anything tha has Kinlaw. If hes not there you think they take a closer look at Raekwon Davis?

Because if u offer both drafted round tenders they’ll get snatched up and nothing owed because both Were undrafted. And a 2nd rd tender in 2020 is over 3mil. You can offer them a new deal because they are undrafted. And cheaper then a tender offer on a multi yr deal

Ogbah hasn’t been a bust. He was traded because he played the same spot as Myles Garrett. He had 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks in a rotation in only 10 games this yr

Both are fringe players, neither of which should be a roster lock. Assuming they were so good that someone would inevitably swoop down and snatch them up then why would they sign some lowball offer and why would their agent let them?

Jarwin and Woods fringe? If you look at the nfl this is what teams are doing now.

2,3,4 yr deals and players are betting on themselves.

I like the effort you put into this. A few observations.

1. I think you contract numbers on Amari are lower than what he will sign for.
2. I think you have to be very careful about crawling out on the Tyron Smith limb. Great past player. But I think he’s getting close to the end.
3. I’m
Ok with gettin Crawford to take a salary reduction but he’s nothing special.
4. I know Forbath had an epic partial season for us but it was a very small sample size. I would draft a kicker.
5. I love the proposed Jarwin extension.
6. Cobb would be good value at the numbers you have stated.
7. I agree we need an upgrade over Fleming.
8. I think Armstrong will be a better player than Ogbah.
9. Hundley would be cheap insurance but I would draft a QB.

As for the draft I would be going BPA, but these players intrigue me:

Jaylon Hurts QB (3rd or later)
Gallimore. DT (4th or later)
Murray LB (3rd or later)
Lamb. WR. 2nd or later

NEEDS:

DT
LB
Safety
Corner

WR
Backup QB
Swing tackle with starter ability (HIGH NEED)
Backup QB.

(OU Players).

I think theyre going to be get Amari a little cheaper. He doesnt want to leave Dallas.

The thing with Tyron is he was hurt early. He's only 28 he still has yrs left. He has some bad plays but his good plays far outweigh the bad. Think its more noticeable because of the name.

Tyrone Crawford when healthy he's a beast. I think these coaches did him a disservice switching him back and forth from DT to DE. He needs to be a DT 100% of the time.

I think once the marijuana issue is cleared up which will probably be this offseason, Gregory will be back. He's never been a problem off the field except with his illness and his remedy. And if the rule is out Gregory will be starting.

I wouldn’t sign the RFA’s but doesn’t matter with Cobb or Forbath unless you give them a big bonus
If you don’t want them back next year just cut them

Lamb in the second? People are projecting him top-10 now. Am I missing something?

I don't think Tyron is anywhere near "almost done." He's 28. He was utterly dominant most of the season. He's had some nagging issues so I think you're right that a swing tackle would be prudent, but could that be Connor Williams?

I think we've gonna around about this, but I think Hurts is a wasted pick unless he wants to play another position or be a guy similar to how the Saints use their gadget TE/QB/WR, which would be amazing and I'd be on board.
