Re-sign: Dez, Ro McClain, Free, Melton, Durant, Beasely, franchise Murray
FA: CB, DL or S if a youngish good one is available for reasonable

Rd 1: DE Shalique Calhoun Mich St
Rd 2: DT Michael Bennett Ohio St
RD 3: FS Devonte Holliman Lousiville
RD 4: RB Duke Johnson Miami
RD 4: Trade up: QB Garrett Grayson Colorado St.
RD 6: (for Rolando McClain: one of the best six rd picks we've ever spent)
RD 7: backup OL or CB

I can't imagine a DL with DLaw, Bennett, Calhoun, and a steady rotation of Brent, Melton, Mincey with a Ro McClain, Sean Lee, and Durant playing behind them as the LB corps. Add a good CB and/or S in FA and I think our D looks quite impressive.

Ok
Calhoun is not a 1st round DE. Slow and just stands up. No fire and quickness.

I like bennett but I don't know if that's the position we need a 2nd round pick at when we have crawford startinh. Just depends on bpa there. If it's him I'm fine with the pick

Holloman is terrible tackler. This draft is a good safety draft and we can find one in the 3rd that is better but Wilcox is starting to turn it on and the coaches like him

Don't like Duke Johnson. Just a hole hitter and goes down easy. I don't like his vision to find the cutback and not good between the tackles. Needs to be I space. Doesn't really fit the schrme.

I like the qb. Good place in the draft for 1 but just depends on bpa again.

I wouldnt mind Holliman that late. Can play sub packages and wont be expected to start. If you want Wilcox to be your SS, you can spend a year working on Hollimans tackling and move him into the FS slot in 2016.

My Safety is do they want Wilcox as a SS or as a FS?

I agree but church is still young. I think church and Wilcox are both SS and we need a true FS but I don't think they will like Holloman because he can't tackle.

I like Drummond or Prewitt better.

You mean Gerod Holliman?

I'm not huge on Bennett but I think he's solid. I would go crazy if we landed these four in the draft. I think Holliman goes late 1st/early 2nd and Duke will go 2nd/3rd but nothing you have here is far fetched. Again, I'd be ecstatic if our draft went this way.

yes, sorry, Gerod. Duke could drop since that's what RBs do, we'll see.
I think its time to draft a QB we can seriously groom as I think we're living on borrowed time with Romo and his back.

This DT draft looks pretty deep actually. I like Bennett a lot, I also like Malcolm Brown from UT a lot.
I like Calhoun, I also like Des Nate Orchard (Utah) and Preston Smitt (Miss St) a lot who won't require a first round pick.
Not sure what we'll do at CB but I like PJ Williams a lot if we go that route in the first or one of the top 2 RBs depending on what we do with Murray or (gasp) Adrian Peterson. There's also the chance we look hard at OTs/OGs in the first depending on what we do with Free. Martin's OT teammate is pretty solid and I'm sure would pair great next to him. I'd have no problem if BPA at our spot in Rd1 was a OL and we took it.

as an alternate:
RD 1: trade out for a second and fourth
RD 2: DTs Bennet or Brown
RD 2: DE Orchard
RD 3: QB Grayson
RD 4: RD Duke Johnson
RD 4: DE Preston Smit or BPA OL/DB

I like this alot better but I think Orchard will be a 1st round. Alot of time left before the draft and orchard will rise through the process.

I disagree on a qb. Romo will be here for 3 more years. No reason to draft a qb to ride the bench when we could get a player in the 3rd round thay will contribute this year.

I think this is better and more realistic although I think winds up top 20. I think Preston Smith is a solid bet in round 2. I would prefer Brown to Bennett. I dont think they will draft a 1 Tech in the first, but I do think they will be willing to take a player of Browns talents in the 2nd. Brown is a first round talent IMO but NT's like Shelton could push him out

Don't see why people like Calhoun. He's smallish and not particularly fast or athletic. Not a good combination for NFL DE.
