I am going to try to be as realistic as possible. More of an info gather, then trying to be a scout and evaluate talent by watching the tape.

In-House Cuts

Cooper-saves 16 million as a pre-june 1st cut.
DLaw-saves 8 million, 19 if a June 1st cut.
Anthony Brown-saves 5 million
Jarwin-saves 3.8 million
Zuerline saves 2.5 million

This creates about 35 million. They can even create more room if they restructure a few deals.

I really like the Green and Tolbert picks, and wouldn't be shocked (actually very happy) if those were the guys

I’d take that if I could get it. But I think you’re far too optimistic about the FA activity. Fatukasi from the Jets would be a nice get. Nothing fancy but a blue collar guy that does great jog against the run as an anchor. Jewell is a solid guy. And Cook is a prime candidate for a 1 yr deal.

Like the free agent lb and DT. You're onto something.

I'd draft Zion Johnson and play him at center, put Lael at lg and Steele at rt.

I don't have high expectations but it will be nice when we don't have speculate about what will happen in free agency. Green is a pretty popular pick at 24, I've been picking him there also. Would love Tolbert in round 3.

With the ACL I’d let Gallup go. Wasn’t healthy all year and supposedly he’ll miss training camp also. Restructure Coop and beef up the LG with Green.

Tonight showed teams that can’t rely on running in short yardage have a very hard time winning. Coop and Lamb should still leave with light boxes and running successfully against them is the key to winning. That’s what got the Chiefs beat also.

Agree, be successful running in light boxes is the key. If they are able to, is opens up the entire offense. Fixing the run game and curbing the penalties up front is the priority.

I like a lot of this. And I like Cam Thomas a whole lot. So much, in fact, that I don’t see him being available to us that late in round 2. But I do like a lot of what you’ve done here.

It's a deep DE class, might be the perfect time to find a future replacement for DLaw.

I totally agree. That’s what I’m basing my draft strategy on as well. Move on from a terrible contract and get a younger, cheaper option. DE is draft priority number one for me.

I would like to keep DLaw for another season if possible and allow the team a yr to get a prospect ready. Agree, DE is a top three priority

Not me. Move on and stop wasting $20 million a year. Make the tough choice.

Not interested in Cook at his age. Would rather sign Hayden Hurst.

I think Turner could be that speedster we all want. I’m not resigning Gallup. I would like to bring back Ced though

This team has to find a few bargain guys. Guys like Cook should be looked at.
Cook fits due to his age and tie to MM. Think they can probably get him at half of the cost of resigning Shultz. Still believe they have to draft a future starter, but that player is going to need some development time.

Jelani Woods, baby!
