Flame away....

1. (27) Eric Kendricks - LB - UCLA Higher than I would take him, but they have seen him twice for workouts. I don't think he makes it to #60, and I'm not projecting a trade down. Excellent run and hit LB who will be an asset in coverage.

2. (60) Tevin Coleman - RB - Indiana Coleman is a clone for Darren McFadden in terms of running style, without the elite burst. He was the only option of note on the Indiana offense, yet still had a humongous year. Needs to work on ball security, and moving his legs when he encounters contact.

3. (91) Marcus Hardison - DT - Arizona State Productive player at ASU in his senior season. Should be a good rotational tackle with Tyrone Crawford.

4. (127) Tyrus Thompson - OT - Oklahoma Big bodied tackle who can also kick inside if needed. Groomed to replace Doug Free.

5. (163) JaCorey Shepherd - CB - Kansas Played the last couple of seasons for Dave Campo. Solid corner who also contributes on special teams in the return game.

7a. (236) Shane Carden - QB - East Carolina Not the prettiest, but has a bit of moxie to him. Interesting developmental prospect.

7b. (243) Obum Gwachum - DE - Oregon State Explosive athlete who needs to improve his strength. One year of experience as a DE, but has a lot of tools to work with.

Looks reasonable.

I do wonder if they need a slower version of McFadden who is still only 27.

Hard to say. Truthfully, I don't know how much McFadden has left in the tank. He and Coleman are remarkably similar in terms of style, though.
