Not a bad tally of talent! Just curious as to which of those OL folks you feel would be the best pick?

I can't see Smith falling that far, but the rest looks like a winner to me. Is that first pick listing in your order of preference?

it is actually not as far as you think.
among the top teams picking, other than the lions, no team is likely to go OT above 17. someone made a really nice post (i think it might have been the poster 'randy white') outlining this team by team a week or so back.

it is possible that the giants trade up to above 17 to out maneuver us but that is less likely. still that is 2 teams and we could still get a top tackle at 17 even in this worst case scenario.

so it is quite possible that smith will be there at 17 if the lions dont pick him

in terms of who to pick, it seems that smith and sherrod (both can start at RT and go on to become LT if needed) seem to have the most upside and costanzo and carimi seem to be the most ready.

this is why i dont want to trade up for PP

this team has too many holes to upgrade

if we needed QB, franchise LT, or elite OLB, I would be all for the trade up, but not for a CB (or possibly a safety)

The odds NE would do that trade are long, but given they did I think you've done a respectable job of it. I don't like Clay much, and while I love Cannon his weight terrifies me.
