Going full off-season here. I'm going right up against the cap. No draft trades.

Re-sign:
Jack Crawford
Mo (sigh)
Hardy (hopefully. If not sign mincey and roll with Lawrence/Gregory/JCraw/Mincey/Russell as de)
Whoever else we can get cheap.

Let Carr and McClain go.

Sign:
Gipson/Weddle/Berry
Janoris Jenkins (solid zone corner. Which I think we'll move back to next season, helping TO's)
Brandon Mebane

Round 1: Myles Jack - QB is nice. BPA is better.

2) Carson Wentz - Our second rounder is nearly a first. We nab him right where he ends up being projected.
3) Alex Collins - don't need to explain this one.
4a) Bralon Addison/Braxton Miller -speed. A legitimate field stretcher and a possible difference maker in the return game.
4b) Kevarie Russell/Maurice Canady/
Deiondre' Hall
- secondary depth. Also future 3rd CB or starter if we decide to cut Mo early.

Rest of the draft I think we'll probably look for another utility DT, like Javon Hargrave, and just select BPA. Probably another OT at some point to try and develop.

Think we can do without Hardy. If Gregory comes on next year, we could still have a pretty decent rotation, especially if Russell develops at all.

Point was to increase speed and playmaking ability on both sides of the ball, while plugging a problem area (1tech) with a proven quality commodity. Defense acquisitions based on suspicion we'll be running a zone scheme primarily.

FA safety lines up at FS. Byron is moved to SS to play a hybrid role where he can match up with TE if needed. Jenkins/Scandrick/Mo isn't amazing, but it improves us.Jack and Lee is a great tandem. Defense is greatly improved, especially in the middle of the field.

Think Wentz will end up being projected top 2nd. Alex Collins can be a 1000 yard rusher his rookie year, imo. I really like the idea of adding a legitimate speed threat on offense. We need it. We don't like sub 6'2 receivers for some reason, but I think there will be a slight change this season. Both these guys can take it to the house, and both can return kicks/punts. An element that we also have severely lacked. I'd prefer Addison but I like them both.

Admittedly, don't know much about 4tg round and on. Just skimmed some prospects and figured we'd want a CB at some point in the first 4 rounds

Weddle could happen. Has no intention to return to SD. Gets hurt a little to much for me though.

If you thinking of a qb in the 2nd round Hackenberg and Brissett are gonna be likely the choices, Wentz is a late first rounder at the least and have a great chance of moving higher when it is all said and done.

Looks good but I disagree about Wentz. He is already in the first discussion and could possibly sneak into the top 10 with a strong Senior Bowl

Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised. I also wouldn't be surprised if he was slightly overrated and by draft time there's going to be enough film showing that he's got some flaws. I've read reports that seem he isn't nearly as polished as some make it seem. I'm hoping at least

The Senior Bowl is going to reveal alot with Wentz, add to that there are a few other day potential day 2 prospects at that game he will get compared too ( Brissett, Hogan, Prescott) All three of those guys ( Prescott is a bit questionable) are guys that could work themselves into the " starter potential " rounds (2-3......for those 3 most likely 3). How much better Wentz looks comparatively is going to go a long way towards his stock

I would love to have that draft. Jack and Wentz with the first two picks would be a dream although I believe that Wentz will go much higher than second round.

Don't want to spend the money Weddle is going to get for a guy that old with clearly diminishing abilities. Someone is going to break the bank and regret it within two years. No thank you.

Also, if you go after Janoris Jenkins and plan to run zone most of the time, drafting Kevarie Russel is a mistake. That kid is a man corner through and through. I love him and think he has tremendous ability as a man corner, but he has looked absolutely lost when asked to play zone at Notre Dame. He also can't seem to stay healthy any better than Mo.

It's been discussed quite a bit, but there is legitimately no shot KC lets Berry go and I would be shocked if he doesn't actually take a discount to stay there. That fan base cradled him through his health issues and he and the fans absolutely adore each other for it. He is a Chief for life.

Crawford and Mo would have to take very team friendly deals in order to remain Cowboys.

Jack isn't BPA at the fourth pick, by any stretch.

As already posted Wentz is posted in low first by a few. Moving around to get back up into the first
would be exceptionable by me but not by many others on this board. If we somehow acquire Wentz
then I like the looks of your draft

Not a fan of taking a LB in the top 5....................he better be the second coming of Urlacher.
