Mock v4

So after studying some tape, and reading most of the comments coming out of VR, I have to say, I really think this team is going to trade down in the first. They don’t seem high on Goff, or Bosa, and Wentz going to Cleveland is a forgone conclusion in my opinion. At this point when our number comes up I think we work out a trade with LA for the #4 pick. I think they really like Goff, and we may be able to fleece them out of their first this year (15), their first next year, and their 2 seconds this year. With that being said heres how I hope the draft unfolds if this trade occurs.

R1 pick 15- Paxton Lynch

Here we get our developmental QB for the future. I think this kid has what it takes to be a future franchise QB, and learning behind Romo with his current skill set will mould him into a BEAST in 4 years. Giving us 1 year to see him start, and decide whether we pick up his option.

Now here I think we may trade back up into the first using one of the seconds we received from LA and one of our comp picks. Say Minnesota is the trade partner. We give up pick 45 and one of our comp picks and move up to 23 overall. After this no more trading.

R1 pick 23-Vernon Butler

Get in my opinion the best pass rusher in the draft without the baggage of Spence and Bosa. Butler needs some coaching but I believe he can be a day one starter and pair nicely with what we have on the defensive line already.

R2 pick 34-Derrick Henry

I didn’t like him, but hes grown on me. The combine was when I started to think, wow this kid is great. Hes big, fast, and can break tackles. The biggest complaint here is that he needs big holes to run through, I don’t think that is the case, but if it is. Who cares, he will have huge holes to run through here and will have time to learn as well behind Morris and McFadden.

R2 pick 43-Tyler Boyd

A great compliment to Dez and catches with his HANDS. Hes quick, elusive and will stretch the field when we need to. Great player, and can really help this offense.

R3 pick 67-Vonn Bell

Arguably the best actual Safety in the draft. If we can grab him in the 3rd id be ecstatic. Kid is fast, has great technique and will become a great cog in the backfield with Jones.

R4 pick 101-Cyrus Jones

A corner that a lot of people here don’t like, but I think he can fit in quickly and probably take Mo Claibornes starting spot. He has some stuff to learn but I think he is extremely talented.

Alright guys, let me know what you think. I can take the criticism.

My only qualm would my worries about Philly at 8. Some think they traded up
for Zeek and that could be so. But whose their QB?

Love your picks mostly

I don't think you can trade comp picks this year. It starts next year.

And even if you could, there's no chance in hell you could get the 23rd pick for the 45th pick and then a late 4th round comp pick.

To get to 23, you are likely talking the 35th pick and your 3rd rounder.

Love the picks but Henry. Just not a big fan of him. Rather have Dixon from La Tech in the 3rd if he makes it that far.

I like a lot of those players!

fwiw
That trade is way, way unrealistic.

But all in good fun, I guess.

Yeah it was more of just a starting point. We would probably give up 34. I was under the impression we could trade comp picks this year. Either way, this is just for fun. Ill be doing a realistic one for my personal blog.

Like the trade back and the first two picks, but 3 of the first 4 picks on offense?
