1.Limas Sweed, wr--I thought about this for awhile and my fist instinct was to go corner...problem is I think the big three (DRC, McKelvin and Jenkins) will all be gone by this point in the draft, leaving the Boys to pick the best available player. In my opinion it will be Sweed who ran an impressive 4.46 in the combine has great work ethic, physical and a solid set of hands. He is NO Mike Williams.

1a.Antoine Cason, cb--Solid football player with a great mind for the position. To me, he is an exact replica of a former Cowboy who had similar characterstics and won three super bowls...Kevin Smith.

2.Ray Rice, rb--Yet another football player. His 4.44 at the combine convinced me he is the guy and a better fit for the Cowboys than some others.

3.Atyba Rubin, dt--I also like Red Bryant, but this kid has a better motor and seems to love football, which is a major criteria for me. The Boys' need depth at the nose tackle pretty badily and this guy fits the bill.

4.Terrance Wheatley, cb--This kid is zooming up draft boards after his impressive combine, so I am not even sure he would be available here....but he would be hard to pass up and maybe he gets lost in the deep corner class.

5.Fernando Velasco, c/g--Monster interior lineman, just the way our old-new offensive line coach likes 'em.

6.Dexter Jackson, wr/st--This is more of a special teams pick than anything, though I think he will contribute to a team as a slot reciever in the future. The Cowboys really, REALLY need to replce the ultra-conservative, slo-mo Patrick Crayton on punt returns and this kid can do it.

7.Branden Keith, ot--I don't know, don't know much about him other than he is huge and comes from a smaller school. Sounds good to me!!!

I'm not so sure that the top four CBs will be gone. I like DRC a lot, but he's very raw. I think that may make teams cautious. Remember, he was a guy that was rated a second or third round pick earlier in the year.

I think you also have to look at where the talent really is in the draft. There's major talent on the DL. Teams usually place greater value on DL than DBs. You can say the same thing about OL.

All that being said, I like your draft. I wouldnt' gripe at all about it.

Pretty solid draft. I'd be very happy with it. I'd be curious to know what RBs you would take over Rice, but assumed they wouldn't be available. Also, I don't think Dexter Jackson will make it to the sixth round.

Very solid draft, only thing I question is Dexter in the 6th, I don't think he'll last that long. I have him in the 5th in my mock, and he may not even be there then.

I have different preferences in most of the spot (although I too like Rubin) but I wouldn't be disappointed with your draft either.

I like this if the top 4 C.B.'s are gone!

1a.Antoine Cason, cb--Solid football player with a great mind for the position. To me, he is an exact replica of a former Cowboy who had similar characterstics and won three super bowls...Kevin Smith.

Don't like Cason at all!
UGH!

2.Ray Rice, rb--Yet another football player. His 4.44 at the combine convinced me he is the guy and a better fit for the Cowboys than some others.

PERFECT!

3.Atyba Rubin, dt--I also like Red Bryant, but this kid has a better motor and seems to love football, which is a major criteria for me. The Boys' need depth at the nose tackle pretty badily and this guy fits the bill.

If both are there, I'll take Bryant, because Ahtyba was ranked about round 6 before he put up 37 reps or whatever the exact number was, so he'll shoot up boards ala Mike Mamula for being a workout warrior when he's really not worth this high of a pick!

4.Terrance Wheatley, cb--This kid is zooming up draft boards after his impressive combine, so I am not even sure he would be available here....but he would be hard to pass up and maybe he gets lost in the deep corner class.

EXACTLY he's zooming up draft board, he's quick, fast, ahtletic and a pure cover corner, I have him as a late 2nd rounder right now, no way he's here in the laste 4th round, I love the pick, just that he wont' be around at this point!

5.Fernando Velasco, c/g--Monster interior lineman, just the way our old-new offensive line coach likes 'em.

I have him as my 6th rounder in my mock I'm working on, I don't have aprblem with this pick at all!
6'-4 328 and plays guard also!

He won't last this late with his speed show he put on at the combines!
I love your definition of Crayton on punt returns, we're paying Newman, let him return punts ala Deion for petes sake!

7.Branden Keith, ot--I don't know, don't know much about him other than he is huge and comes from a smaller school. Sounds good to me!!!

I have Brandon as more like a 5th rounder!
He's 6'-5 350 and has good feet, what more do you want?
Wont' be around this late, but I love the pick, although I'm not sure we will even have Tackle on our draft board on draft day!
We have Flo and Columbo as starters and then we have Free/Marten/McQuistan backign them up, no room for any tackle to make the team, so I think we can scratch O.T. off all our future mocks we do!

I think McFadden, Mendenhall, Stewart, C.Johnson and Felix Jones will all be gone by the time the Cowboys choose in round two. This leaves Rice, Charles, K.Smith, and Forte in that next group and of those I really think Rice is the most complete back, though I wouldn't be disappointed with any of the others.
