Hard to gather any wood with these picks unless you are related to them good thing that most drafts do not reflect much from the early mocks other than positional picks. Remember the WR from OKstate last year(Bowman), fact is at 51 we are hoping for some drops. I hope we can do better.

6.Tiquan Underwood WR Rutgers(6-2/185/4.46 40 time/Ranked 28th 2009 WR)

if the same players were available as in their mock, I'd go:

2.Evander Hood DT Missouri(6-3/295/4.99 40 time/ Ranked 4th 2009 DT)
3. Herman Johnson G LSU(6-7/362/5.47 40 time/ Ranked 2nd 2009 G)
4a.Antoine Caldwell C Alabama(6-3/305/5.12 40 time/ Ranked 5th 2009 C)
4b.Myron Rolle SS Florida State(6-2/218/4.52 40 time/ Ranked 8th 2009 SS)
5a.Darry Beckwith ILB LSU(6-1/235/4.59 40 time/ Ranked 3rd 2009 ILB)
5b.Michael Bennett OLB Texas A&M(6-4/262/4.84 40 time/ Ranked 11th 2009 DE)
6.Tom Brandstater QB Fresno State(6-5/225/4.80 40 time/ Ranked 9th 2009 QB)

Just in case anyone was wondering. Selvish Capers has some really great natural ability. He was originally a TE when brought in to WVU if memory serves.

However WVU under Rodriquez and still now, were/are a zone blocking group.

So he does not have the weight you would want but he does have good athletic ability and room to grown.

So if we stick with what we have and no intention of getting shanny in the future...he might pan out...might...but if we moved to zone blocking scheme down the road he probably could turn out to be a good RT.

The question with him is if he wants to play football or go on with that Rhodes scholarship and become a brain surgeon.

Oghobaase says he's returning for school, and I don't want to see a Texas Tech lineman drafted, certainly not as high as the 4th round

I hope we sign Canty and Bart Scott

2-Rashad Johnson FS
3-Larry English OLB
4-Trevor Canfield OG
4-Terrance Taylor DT
5-Darry Beckwith ILB
5-Jarron Gilbert-DT/DE
6-Tom Brandstater

i like the 2nd mock, except have anthony parker in the 4a slot and get a DT with 4b

drafttek.com's latest 6th round mock...

2(51) Jonathan Luigs C Arkansas(6-4/314 4.95 40 time Ranked 2nd 2009 C)
3(69) Louis Delmas S Western Michigan(6-0/195 4.52 40 time Ranked 3rd 2009 FS)
4a(97) Ramses Barden WR Cal Poly(6-6/224 4.59 40 time Ranked 13th 2009 WR)
4b(113) Scott McKillop ILB Pittsburgh(6-1/240 4.74 40 time Ranked 6th 2009 ILB)
5a(149) Ellis Lankster CB West Virginia(5-10/190 4.53 40 time Ranked 19th 2009 CB)
5b(160) Mike Reilly QB Central Washington(6-3/214 4.78 40 time Ranked 9th 2009 QB)
6(185) Jaimie Thomas G Maryland(6-4/332 5.29 40 time Ranked 14th 2009 G)

seems to be a lot of guys that posters on this board really like .. Luigs, Barden, Reilly. Although it doesn't address NT and I hope we address G before the 6th round, I could live with this draft. Especially since we land Delmas.

I like it, not high on the Barden pick

Barden's future in the NFL is at TE...

It should be noted that he played at a very low level of competition... a 4.6 40 WR might be able to tear it up for Cal Poly, but will he be able to get separation in the NFL??

This is why I think his future is to bulk up 10-15 pounds, and move to TE...

yeah, he's going to find it hard to get seperation, esp. weighing near 230lbs.

think of Mike WIlliams part deuce

We'll see how his combine goes if he runs under 4.5 I don't think he changes. Being a great route runner and have great hands makes up for a lack of separation.
