Anything can happen in the playoffs and like you say, the teams that get hot at the end of the season do better.

And getting Frederick, David Irving, Maliek Collins and Sean Lee back won't hurt either.

I'm reminded of that Giants team that started the season not so great, but was hot in the second half of the season and wound up winning the Super Bowl after a 9-7 or 10-6 record. They got hot at exactly the right time and hopefully the same is happening for us.

With the offense now rising to the level of the defense....it's looking like that NY team. Solid take.

Frederick isn't coming back. I think Collins already is back. And LVE is the best LBer in the NFL right now.

Most of the articles on Frederick are positive, sensation has returned to his hands and he is doing plenty of weight work. And it still a month from the day he could possibly return.

Maliek Collins is on the field but still a long ways from 100%, that is what I meant.

LVE is a beast who will get much better, which is frightening. Aikman said from the booth that he thinks he will be one of the best players in the league, which is another testament to how well this team has drafted lately.

Do you think they'd start Frederick over Looney if he doesn't get healthy until the playoffs?

Is this team now in the NFC Championship conversation?

We will know by next Friday. They don’t necessarily need to beat the Saints, but they need to show that they’re in the same league.

If the playoffs started today, the road to the NFC Championship game would mean beating the Panthers in Dallas then beating the Saints in New Orleans.

In a heartbeat. Half of Frederick's game is mental and Looney has done well for a backup, but he is nothing close to what Frederick is.

Also its an unpopular opinion, but I would start Looney at LG when Fred does come back.

Yea I would definitely start Looney at LG. The guys like him and he's a good player.

If Frederick can return our oline depth will be looking real good.
I'd still like a tackle next year

Nothing is certain on his health but I think the earliest date for him to return is Game 13 for the last four games. Its seems very likely he is back before the playoffs though.
Did I miss something ? He's just started getting feeling back in his hands so he's not been doing much lifting. I'm guessing very light weight to prevent any atrophy. Then add to that he still doesnt have full feeling in his legs, I'm not seeing him back this year.
