1. Yup it was bad but it's a win and I'll take 10-3
2. The Cowboys went down the field on their first and last drives and looked impressive doing it
3. I thought Dak stunk for 57 minutes then he found his game on the last drive and he was money
4. Kellen Moore needs to go, he pounded the ball on the 1st drive and then went away from it
5. James Williams started, made a cameo appearance and then ghosted the Cowboys the rest of the game
6. No sacks by the defense WHAT, against that team that was embarrassing
7. Here's a huge stat and it had a lot to do with the Cowboys winning only THREE penalties for 10 yards
8. One of the greatest goal line stands in the history of the Cowboys which set up the winning score
9. I know they sucked but the Cowboys are awesome in the fourth quarter
10. The win came with a price, they had a lot of guys go out yesterday with injuries hopefully it's nothing serious.

Hopefully it’s a wake up call. We can just show up
And win because the opponent is 1-10-1. They escaped what could have been an embarrassing loss. Coaches need to do better to get these guys ready, regardless of the opponent, players need to snap to attention and have the mentality of pounding every team on the schedule. They can use this game as start to the playoff run and beyond.

Turpin's muffed punt return was a turning point, shifting momentum to the Texans. They ran the stupid run option just about every play of the game. Heck, it wasn't even an RPO since there was no pass option. Most of the game they only ran one of two plays (option or straight run), and we still had issues stopping them. We didn't have any sacks because they pounded the ball, preventing us from pinning our ears back and rushing the QB. If we had gained a two TD lead and forced them to pass, this game would have been over quick. As it was, we played right into their hands. Like I mentioned though, if Turpin catches that punt it might have been a completely different game. Just my 2 cents...

28 passes in the first half was a much bigger issue.

What's wrong with Micah Parson? Is he getting worn down?
Sorry, Schoolhouse Rock and 3 but the magic number is 1.
We win next week, and we practically clinch a playoff birth.
Then we can rest guys who need to heal to prepare for a Super Bowl run.
I seriously doubt we're catching Philly.
I think we trip up at Jacksonville next week.

I thought the team played poorly from Coaching down to Special Teams. We still won so I don't care.
I care a lot, because stuff like that is what gets you bounced from the first round of the playoffs. This game was eerily similar to the 9ers playoff loss last season.

Absolutely. That's what happens when you play an undersized LB at DE. Several of us warned this would happen.

Good write up
The lack of penalties was a huge positive

I think much of the reason there were no sacks is the Texans didn't run many pass plays that required the QB to hold the ball very long waiting for routes to develop. With only a few exceptions their passing game was designed to get the ball in the air quickly to avoid the pass rush.

Definitely not a very good game for Dak, but the encouraging thing was that he didn't let that shake his confidence and he was able to put that behind him when we needed the drive at the end. It's like a pitcher in baseball - can't fall to pieces after giving up a couple of HR's.

regarding actually it was 56 minutes and 23 seconds...but who is counting

Kellen was inconsistently consistent yesterday. I couldn't make heads or tails out of what he was trying to do or establish. seemed like he was just trying this, trying that. despite some running success, some of the other ones were horrible. like the goal line run by zeke. so you see them bunching up on the 2, we are bunched up and your run up the middle...why? if it was inches to go, ok, maybe I get it, but that play was doomed from the design up. Our Passing attack plan was horrible. several plays, Dak had time, kept looking down field and round for any WR to be open and then had to dump it off..... was it the WR? or the play design. it brought back shades of Linehan and Garrett. did CD go in motion at all yesterday? I don't remember.

yeah, what was it with defense not getting any sacks, against two craapy QBs and a below average OL....not only that, we couldn't even put pressure on them.

we learned Ball is not a RT at this point. he gave up the pressuer that caused the sack fumble we recovered. and then immediately the pressure that led to a bad throw.... then we go with peters and things settle down...

I don't think the coaches had this team ready. I read a few places, they had an easy practice week, which is exactly the opposite of the message you gave the team...don't eat the cheese........and he ate it, handful, stuffing his face. Jimmy would have put the team through a tough practice to give them a message for being ready for post season.

if we just thought we show up, then this is the second time this year. we did it against GB. and now Texans. when will the coaches learn.

That RPO by opposition will be our downfall. The birds watched this game, and probably saw a few wrinkles to add to their arsenal.

Yep...and the worst thing about Turpin's muff was that he had signaled for a fair catch. He had no reason to take his eyes off the ball. At that point, his only job was to focus on fielding the punt cleanly...but nooooooooo. I had a sinking feeling as soon as he fumbled that ball.
