49ers could have easily put up 50+ in this game. early season rust maybe?

With two good RBs PLUS Deebo, 49ers run game could be scary this season.

Jets were no match at all for SF. They look like the toughest opponent on the schedule.

At least The New York Jokes youtube channel will be fun tomorrow.

Yeah not hard to do when you are paying your qb 800 thousand dollars against the cap. They need to be charged a penalty
Would you trade Dak for Purdy? This year, I think anyone would. However, at some point, Purdy's rookie contract will be up, and he'll want (justifiably, based upon team performance) to be paid more than Dak. There will be no end at all to what is basically an unsustainable "arms race" until some common-sense institutional controls are implemented to put an end to it.

Tough first game going across the country from NY to SF.

Agree but all I heard all offseason was there D is top 3 if not number one and you have Mr. State Farm back and this good OL revamped. They said there QB kept them down last year but D kept them in games and when I flipped it back to the game it was 23-7 and I kept turning the TV.

The Knicks will keep it interesting. They've always been a basketball town anyway.
Actually we are a baseball town first and foremost. But yes Knicks and Rangers make my winter/spring time fun lately.

That's a product of the Knicks sucking forever. NYC is about to explode with Knick love and basketball fever. It should be fun.

Am a knicks fan, but most definitely not a new yorker so I'll not argue your point, just offering my opinion based on years of following the team.

Give it a freaking rest. 1 game in and this is your contribution?

This might be valid if it was in the middle of the season and they were coming off a short week. This was week 1 and well rested, also the very last game of the week. Jets are nowhere near the Niners talent or coaching wise.

Don’t know how teams do it now but my brother said, when he was playing with the niners, they would travel back east a week before the game to get acclimated to the time zone difference, not a day or before the game and also practice there.

Purdy can renegotiate his contract after this season (3 years rule). There isn’t even a question he will do so nor any question that he will be successful. It was discussed fairly extensively during last night’s broadcast.
Nor is there any question as to San Fran having to make quite a few difficult decisions on who’s bloated contacts they’ll have to purge to get under the cap!

Why should be it be ended? Salary cap keeps increasing. The NFL's profits keep rising, meaning owners are pocketing even more money. These TV deals keep getting bigger. Players don't deserve to have their salaries increased but the owners and all other entities get to keep reaping the benefits? People need to get over these contract numbers. No idea why fans even involve themselves in these talks or worry about the cap. They have a whole front office who worries about this. Discussing the financial side of sports is so tiring.

Are you suggesting that rapidly-escalating player salaries don't impact fans?
