Monday Night Thread

99 yard drive coming up. Wish there were two Monday Night games this week.

I don’t think the NFL is scripted as far as thr league knows who's gonna win the game, but you gotta be crazy if you dont think the NFL doesn't favor certain teams/story lines
Exactly. Not saying the outcomes are predetermined but some teams get extra help while others don't.

My friend says you must be good enough to beat the other team and the refs.

Rather is the refs are just bad, or lean more toward one team than the other.

Jaguars must get a TD here. Then hold KC to a FG or no score. Or this game may get out of control.

I'm not sure I saw any contact there, let alone "enough."

Unless you count Thomas landing on his foot.

Trevor Lawrence is a unique QB. On one play he can look elite and one snap later he looks like he belongs in the UFL.

I don’t believe it affects final outcomes, but the Chiefs are the darlings of the NFL and national sports media. Philly had the temerity to beat them in the last Super Bowl and that does not sit well.

Now the media is obsessed with the Eagles. They just won the Super Bowl. Their fans get to be happy for a while. They’re 4-1. Who cares if they’re struggling? Unless you’re about to play them why does it matter? Sick of hearing about them. Imagine being a Saints fan right now, or a Dolphins fan. Having to hear how bad Philly is must be depressing.

The way this game is going the Chiefs will be right back on top of the football world. No way KC does not win the AFC West this season…one way or the other.

It used to be the Packers, now it's the Chiefs that get the benefit of the doubt.

This is why people think the NFL is scripted.

The same teams get all the calls their way all the time, led by the Chiefs. The league knows what makes them money and having Patrick Mahomes lose on a Monday Night is a torpedo in their wallet.
So you believe the NFL tells the refs who to favor in the game they officiate?
Wouldn’t someone have said something by now?

Oh they say something alright, right here on the forum.
Every time their favorite team loses.

With the amount of money at stake, with the NFL now embracing the gambling aspect of the game after distancing themselves from it forever, who can say for sure? Not even every official, coach, or player needs to be "in on it" if it's limited to just a few types of plays or crucial moments. I mean I know this sounds like I am reaching into some deep rabbit hole of fantasy but it's possible.

I mean coaches and players do give gameplan details to those broadcasting the game (even John Madden was allowed to attend offensive meetings sometimes) and it's kept under wraps until the plays occur in the game.

I think the bias is on each fan watching.
What ever team the fan favor, the fan will believe his team is being screwed.
Cowboys fans do it all the time here.
