Crayton lit it up in PM.
At one point Crayton was so hot that Parcells interupted to yell out a second time "CRAYTON, YOU ARE ON FIRE". Most animated I saw him all day over course of both practices. Parcells was pumped.
Crayton deserved the praise. He caught 2 passes in a row in stride. He really is gobbling the ball up with those mitts of his. He looked like he did before injury last year and was making great cuts and seeming to run crisp routes. The passes were nicely on target for him each time. But he would have made 5 or 6 big yardage plays from PM session alone, and not just in one on one practice, but in full squads.
Fans of Crayton and those worried about depth behind Glenn and TO would have loved to watch him. He looked good in AM, he looked great in PM practice. Didn't drop one pass and routinely beat guys. They are using him on lots of slants again. He's either catching across the middle or catching on sideline and cutting back inside into traffic.
********
Crayton didn't field many punts today. A couple at end of PM practice.
Green, Newman, and Rector were primary punt returners and each caught 4-5 balls without anyone dropping one. Green looked good on punts but was shaky as WR. He is getting yelled at a bunch by coaches and is struggling with playbook so far it seems. Looked real comfortable grabbing punts though.
