heh. It's not that simple. A players ability can fit anyone's plan. That doesn't mean the person fits. Could you imagine teams dealing with Charles Haley locker room antics these days?

Yes, I think they might consider over-paying him now that Murray is gone. It might cost not getting McClain, but they have a big group of reasonable NFL players now at the LB position.

As you said, it really free them up in the draft to go BPA. They could also free up a big sum of money (8M) if they draft a CB early and made Carr a June 1st cut.

A signing like this will go along ways towards calming the fan base down as well.............you don't let the NFL Offensive Player of the Year just walk out the door and counter that with a McFadden signing and say your done till the draft.

It was not a blown call. If anything should have been called on PI on the offense. Still the Lions could have gone for it on 4th down. That play had no outcome at all and Lions still had their chances.

Broaddus seemed like he was against the signing, even though he didn't say so directly on Talking Cowboys. Mickey was kinda defending the guy by saying stuff like "it was a 2 way fight" and he read the 911 report where Hardy said he was being attacked with his girl hitting him with her shoe.

So just based off Talking Cowboys, I would say Mickey was for it and Broaddus was against it..............that is the way it seemed at least.
