Moore made the difference

The Dallas Cowboys could not have looked better in their opener against the New York Giants.

The Cowboys beat up on the Giants 35-17, putting up 494 total yards on offense. Dak Prescott threw for an impressive 404 yards and four touchdowns. The excellent day for the offense — led by their passing attack — resulted in praise for first-year offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

Moore joked about the plaudits he received after the game, noting team owner Jerry Jones finally got his name right.

Doesn't hurt having Frederick back either. He calls out everything presnap and adds to the comfirt zone.

The Giants had gaping holes in that secondary all day today, but Dak also threw several diimes today.
Great to see

In the past few years I would actually be fairly accurate when our offense lined up what play they would actually run. Today I was WRONG so much that I just stopped. This is such a good thing that we aren’t so predictable. That was a huge takeaway from today’s game.

The only plays that were obvious were the run plays except the Giants anticipated a run far too often.

Really looking forward to seeing the offense evolve together. Cooper, Gallup and Cobb are tough trio to defend when the QB is spreading it around and #21 has to be accounted for.

I was at the game with my dad. When witten left the game and jarwin came in i was calling out exactly what we wanted to do. There was plenty i didnt know but when certain sub packages came on i knew what moore was doing. As the season goes on we will see what moores tendencies are.

I hope he evolves it well, to keep those tendencies masked

We were supposed to beat the giants, and we did easily.

But the difference was Moore called such a good game it made everyones job easier on offense. Dak admitted its the same play book as before but with some changes. Moore going pass heavy to open up the run and let our receivers showcase their talent against a weak giants defense was great to see. Watching Dak hit open receivers in the endzone was awesome. You can also tell that kitna telling dak to let it rip on what moore calls is working. We have better competition coming up and i hope this is just the beginning having this kind of offensive success.
wasn't a fan of the hiring. but hey, give it time and see what happens. you'd be hard pressed to ask him for a better debut.

hopefully this trend continues.

It was nice to see the offense attack a weakness of a defense instead of doing the same thing no matter who they play.

Eventually teams will have an idea of what we do and itll come back down to execution. But give props to Dak who didnt just dink and handoff for the win. Dak scoring 4 TD's with his arm has been only a dream till now. If he continues to do that then even if you know whats coming its harder to stop.

Garrett will try to claim some credit for that offense at the PC today. He'll give the generic boilerplate praise about how Kellen did a nice job but then be sure to mention how this is a team effort and the system isn't that different (if any) from what it was.

I'm bumping just about every post above...my biggest take away was all the misdirection he added. That alone kept the NY vagiants D on 2 left feet. Our recievers took advantage and just blew past them. The last thing to say here was Dak LOOKED as good as all of us who have defended him have been saying. He threw long, he threw over the shoulder, (that pass to Cooper for the TD was golden) and he took what the defense gave him. NO fumbles, NO INT's... his price tag just went up for all you Dak haters...me I'm all smiles.

You mean the guys pretty much everyone wanted fired last year?

I don’t think fans have any earthly clue what coaches need credit.

I love what Moore brings... If we had his vision 10 years ago we might not have had as long of a SB hiatus...with that said, I think the real test for Moore will come week 4 and beyond, after good teams have had the opportunity to study his offense and make adjustments to counter what we are doing. I am hopeful that he will continue to be creative and with the amount of talent on this offense, defenses will struggle all year long to keep up (fingers crossed). Especially if the defense starts to turn it on. Its extremely early, but the future so bright I have to wear shades.

We will know after the patriots game how well Moore can make adjustments in game, on the fly, etc.
