They were giving us the outside. All KM had to do was move Dak around a little, and attack the edges with Pollard

But alas, KM is his daddy's son and will die in the pocket along with Dak's career. But who do u blame? KM? Jerry for demanding Zeke be run up the middle? The OL? The OL coach? MM the rotund statue?
All of the above, and half need to go.

For the record , KM didn't change but the way defenses played Dak surely did.

I completely agree. In THAT way he was definitely at fault. And certainly not benching Zeke was a huge mistake. Continuing to let Pollard rot on the bench, another big blunder.

He did try things with the run game however as far as trying to run to the outside more. None of it worked as Zeke was simply too slow and predictable.

Pollard was hurt, as was Zeke.....Pollard needs to be used sparingly, he's not an every down back.....to small and can't block.....put him in the slot and deep set.....

yes it did. its easy to look at the over all stats and dismiss it. his play calling against Washington, Eagles and Giants was similar and eschewed the final stats..... the difference is between strategic play calling during the game, which he never adjusted. I read the article and the one thing it mentions which I agree with is he never adjusted once they figured him out. our output per play dropped, our 1st down output dropped, which led to a lot of 2nd and long and 3rd and long situations.

He is inexperienced and thought what was working would continue to work. Know who else thought that way? Andy Reid.

When DC's began to use that Hog style defense and umbrella Hill and Kelce, Reid didn't have an answer for that.

Hopefully, Moore learned from that and understands the coach has to make changes before he is forced to in games.

No matter what any coach does, when the opposing coaches get enough looks at it, they always catch up. And the subsequent opposing coaches use that film.

I wonder about the confidence level of the players in Moore. That was Turner's strength, the players knew he had a plan when something stopped working.

exactly. been saying the same thing for three years. he maybe a genuis wonder boy (as jerry wants us to believe), but no OC comes to that position after one year of coaching and dominates the NFL. give enough tape to the DCs and they will figure you out, and if you don't adjust you get eaten up live, which is what happened to Moore. he is green. he is learning. he is learning by making mistakes. his first mentor was Garrett and Jerry told McM to be hands off with him, so he has no mentor. if Jerry sticks with him for a few more years to try and prove himself right, Moore would be ruining several careers along the way, before Jerry realizes his mistake

He took Cooper out the game plan and that is no myth because Jerry Dumbo GM Jones wanted an out of his contract having Lamb. Cooper never asked to be included in a game plan in his Football history from High School (champion with Bridgewater) to college (champion with Saban) to NFL (Raiders and Cowboys) until Moore the boy genius started messing up.

well, think about it. Moore's first Mentor was Garrett and Linehan....then just Garrett, then MM was told to be hands off. so you wonder why boy genius got schooled.

it became obvious that he has become predictable when on many plays I saw against SF, the CBs were just sitting 10-12 yards deep and knowing the play was coming to them and they never adjusted, or ran different route combinations. Dak and WRs should have changed the plays at the line when they would see that, the idiots never did...the entire offense got stupid in the second half of the season.

The problem is it didnt change, guy thought he was smarter than everyone else in the room. Jason Garrett syndrome.

I agree, he didn't change crap. The run blitz and the delayed blitz killed us in every game we loss. And he did nothing to fix that. McCarthy should have taken the clipboard from him. So now the question is, much influence or control does McCarthy have on this offense?

100%... It's what Nate Newton, Michael Irvin and others have said about Moore for the last couple of years.. He has a book full of plays but doesn't really have a "scheme." I don't think he has a good feel for calling the running game at all and frankly the more I watch of these last couple of years the more I am convinced that anything the guys get on the ground are the result of Zeke and Pollard doing great things as opposed to Moore scheming up anything. The same could be said of the passing offense. Dak shaking off unblocked defenders or Zeke picking them off because the blocking scheme left two of them unaccounted for should not be credited to Moore at all. Cooper's amazing catches on the game winning drive at Minnesota is another example.. Cooper was double covered on the long ball that hit the DB in the shoulder pad before Coop caught it. What the hell did Moore have to do with that? If I'm not mistaken the game winning TD in overtime @NE was made possible by Dak running out of trouble and a DB stumbling as CeeDee crossed in front of him ..

Rarely did we see the "scheme" creating opportunities for guys. Not that it didn't happen.. The times when we ran the jet sweep to Pollard after faking to Zeke nearly ALWAYS worked because the defense had to honor Zeke and Pollard could get on them before they knew what was happening. Or the times when we handed to Zeke who then pitched it to Pollard. Those were great play calls.. They were also rare.. How many times in third and medium did we call the "everybody run to the sticks and turn around" play. While the defense is rushing three and dropping eight usually 5 right at the sticks and 3 just beyond.. leaving nowhere for Dak to go with the ball except to hold onto it for as long as he could before dropping it off short to Zeke or Schultz. Simply put, Moore needs to get better at his job. Namely his goal coming into the season should not be "to be the #1 offense in the league" like it was last year. The goal needs to be "to be the best offense in the league at doing whatever the hell we want to do whenever we want to do it." To hell with flashy numbers. Score one more point than the opponent and either be able to hold onto the ball for the entire 4th quarter when you have a lead or punch it into the end zone to take the lead when you're behind. I don't care where the offense "ranks." I need to see it perform when we need it to. Period.

I have always maintained that Dak will not become a truly great QB until he does more of this. He needs to take more command of the offense and not allow it to stagnate the way it did at times last year. Really it has been doing it since Moore took over. Especially the slow start syndrome. In the Garrett/Linehan days this team was known for getting up on people and playing from ahead. Since Moore took over they have been notoriously bad on opening drives and really in first quarters period. I believe they only scored TDs on the opening drive like 2-3 times. A stark contrast to 2016 when they did so in 12-13 games. I still think the problem is Moore seems to favor "feeling teams out" with his first several "scripted" plays rather than attacking the weaknesses they have seen on film all week. We never come out and just exploit the hell out of a matchup advantage like we should. Instead it looks like we're trying to run down a checklist of plays and formations we wanna show before we really start playing football for real.
