is such a refreshing face on NFL Total Access. You can just tell he's going to make Marshal Faulk feel like an idiot before it's all said and done.

The best part is that he won't do it "in your face" Michael Irvin style. He's going to make Marshall (and the rest of the hater crew) look like chumps through superior analysis and knowledge. And, as always, look like a gentleman in the process.

It look like he wanted to hang Rich Eisen out to dry when he kept saying Free performed poorly in the Vikings game.

I hated it at the end, when Rich Eisen said "we have a tradition here on NFL Network" and then handed Moose a pair of sholder pads to carry. I applaud Moose for basically playing along and acting like he's taking it as tounge-in-cheek, but you could tell he was irked by the whole thing and that it was not part of the script. In the first brief second as Eisen proceeded ot hand Mosse the pads, you could see this look-of-insult all over his face. After all, who the heck is Rich Eisen really. Moose is a 3-time Super Bowl winner ans should-be Hall of Famer. Eisen is nothing more than a creer commentator.

Near the end, when Eisen was asking all of them to come up with nicknames for the TO/Ochocinco tandem, I got a definite "What the heck am I doing here?" vibe from Johnston. His answer, "Terrell and Chad," bore that out.

I saw that too. LOL

I think Moose will do great with the gig, but he may have trouble going along with a lot of the "cute and clever" stuff. He's always come across as being more straight businesslike, whether it be as a player or commentator. And he's not very glib, so I think he may leave that stuff to rest of them.

That's a tired mantra. It is not valid for many reasons.
Jamie Dukes has been playing that card offseason. He even went so har as to say Free is not really in consideration with Barron in dallas. Jeesh. Maybe he's changed his tune some now that camp has begun and Free holding up well.

Speaking of anti-Cowboyism on TV, on ESPN right now on the Mort bus tour, Mort corrected the host saying that Romo's leadership had never actually been in question and it was just the media. The host responded back with just "hmm..." and changed the subject. :bang2:

wth was that!?! lol!!
I'm gonna have nightmares all week now :laugh2:

NFL Network badly needed another Cowboy homer to balance out the Cowboy hate on those shows. Johnson is my favorite announcer to listen to.

Ain't that the truth. Look up the story about Moose and Jamie Foxx during the Emmitt Smith roast. Moose doesn't always see the funny side of things. (And I am a big Moose fan, but he's as straight-laced as they get).

Is he still on Fox for games?

Moose is a cerebral guy, there is definitely a place for that at NFLN with the current cast.

It will be interesting to see how long Moose hangs around. He takes his job much more serious than most of the clowns on NFL TA.

I was waiting for Moose to say, "it wasn't all Doug Free, @ times the Vikings sent a man inside Free's right side, which left Witten one on one with Allen".

Moose has to be careful not to defend the Boys too much...to avoid the treaded homer tag.
