Chris Cooley-TE- Commanders Nov. 30 - 3:08 pm et

Commanders placed TE Chris Cooley (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.

He'll have lots more time to blog now. Cooley finishes out of the top eight fantasy tight ends for the first time since his rookie year. The 27-year-old was off to a strong start, with 29 catches for 332 yards and two TDs before breaking his ankle in Week 7. Cooley's $2.325 million salary in 2010 is very manageable. He'll return as the Skins' clear-cut No. 1 tight end.

Rob Jackson-DL- Commanders Nov. 30 - 3:22 pm et

Commanders signed DE Rob Jackson off their practice squad.

Jackson was the Commanders' seventh-round pick two Aprils ago. He won't help much as the club's No. 4 or 5 defensive end for the rest of the season.

Alvin Bowen-LB- Commanders Nov. 30 - 3:21 pm et

Commanders signed LB Alvin Bowen off their practice squad.

Bowen is a special teamer. His elevation to the active roster indicates SLB Chris Wilson could move back to defensive end in a nickel rushing role.

Jeremy Jarmon-DL- Commanders Nov. 30 - 3:19 pm et

Commanders placed DE Jeremy Jarmon on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.

Jarmon entered the league last summer as a raw supplemental draft pick out of Kentucky, and earned only spot playing time in his first year. The torn ACL won't threaten his 2010 roster spot, but is a severe early-career setback.
