as far as blowing the whistle when forward progress is stopped.
sometimes they blow the whistle prematurely and sometimes they don't blow it till someone gets driven back several yards and has his head practically ripped off.
IMO, the ref should have blown the whistle before Roy fumbled. His forward progress was stopped, even if he kept fighting.
as far as leading with the helmet on a down player.
McNabb was sacked late in the game, but the refs called a penalty on Houston cause a player hit him, allegedly with a helmet, just as he was going down.
On the next drive, the Skins committed the exact same infraction and NO PENALTY.
Can the zebras please be consistent and call it even both ways....instead of seemingly always giving one team a benefit over the other team.
