More consistency from refs please

as far as blowing the whistle when forward progress is stopped.

sometimes they blow the whistle prematurely and sometimes they don't blow it till someone gets driven back several yards and has his head practically ripped off.

IMO, the ref should have blown the whistle before Roy fumbled. His forward progress was stopped, even if he kept fighting.

as far as leading with the helmet on a down player.

McNabb was sacked late in the game, but the refs called a penalty on Houston cause a player hit him, allegedly with a helmet, just as he was going down.

On the next drive, the Skins committed the exact same infraction and NO PENALTY.

Can the zebras please be consistent and call it even both ways....instead of seemingly always giving one team a benefit over the other team.

uh-oh... when we start seeing these threads about the refs, it only confirms in my mind that this team really must suck.

It's not just how the refs are screwing us...it is how they seem to favor certain players and teams and so forth. Like why dont the skins get a holding call when we play them, Rabach is holding maliciously throughout the game....yet we get several, including one to close out the game. I know ours are legit calls, but they need to be throwing the flags on the other team as well.

I know when teams play the Giants and Pats, they must be frustrated at all the calls the refs refuse to make. The Steelers D is allowed to go prison thug on people and they hardly get penalties.....while other teams barely look at an offensive player and get flags thrown at them.

I guess consistency is not the right word.....cause the refs are consistently bad and biased....they have become almost NBA like with how they favor players or teams.....
