The 1983 season, when you look at it closely, was almost a mirror image of last year.
Consider:
Both teams won an entertaining Week 1 game (Monday night comeback against the Skins, last year's shootout with the Giants)
Both had a record-setting QB (Until Romo went berserk a year ago, Danny White had the single-season TD record)
Both teams' first loss was a highly anticipated game against the AFC's Super Bowl representative (Raiders in 1983, Pats last year)
Which was more troubling to see the end?
I say 1983- Last year's team is still capable of winning for many years (Many key cogs are younger), whereas the 1983 team was Landry's last truly great team
