Seems like every big division, conference or playoff game opposing teams have headset issues in NE. Maybe the league should force them to upgrade the equipment at the stadium or something, it is out of hand how many times this happens in NE compared to the rest of the league.

http://wtop.com/nfl/2016/01/reid-says-chiefs-had-headset-problems-at-new-england/

But Reid said they cut out “just a little bit, not much,” and did not think that they were anything out of the ordinary.

Since so many people are so eagerly anticipating my comments, I'll be happy to provide you with a little dose of reality. People call me an apologist, all I do is state facts. For some reason, facts make some people very unhappy, but they are still facts:

1) These things happen far, far more frequently than anyone realizes, it only makes national headlines for the Patriots but hey, that's the price you pay for greatness. This isn't even the first playoff game this season to have headset issues - bet you all didn't know that, huh? No one cared about or paid attention to or started any threads about the other example. In fact, I'll bet no one in here could even identify the other game with issues this postseason without looking it up.

2) NFL personnel are involved in the selection and installation of the equipment every step of the way. The NFL provides the equipment, and the home team conducts the installation under the oversight of league personnel.

3) Reid himself admitted it was nothing out of the ordinary, and it certainly didn't take place during any sort of critical moment in the game

4) Any team not prepared for headset issues - which happen all the time in all stadiums - have only themselves to blame

5) The price you pay for greatness is the incessant whining of the haters.

Which means there would be no reason to offer the information up unsolicited.

Someone was fishing here.

Back in before the "it happens everywhere, not just NE" so its no big deal and its not the Cheatriots doing it at all.

If this is so common, why havent we heard about opposing teams having issues at Cowboys Stadium?

Also, why do the issues in NE always seem to be limited to the opposing team and never the Patriots?

I think it's likely overblown as well.

All of the time people were worried about headsets, they found another way to cheat in deflating footballs.

So, what's to make us not think they just found another way to cheat that has not been uncovered, yet? Perhaps paying off the refs? Kraft has the money to do it and they seem to go to no bounds in order to do so. Maybe they have recording devices planted in Gillette Stadium?

The price you pay for cheating is not so much about getting caught, it's the doubt that will always be raised about any future achievements.

Just ask Mark McGwire.

These were all accusations in Spy-gate. They have that uncanny ability to sniff out plays, anytime momentum is shifting.
