Eli Manning confirmed he signed the wall inside the visitors' locker room at Cowboys Stadium after the New York Giants beat the Cowboys in September, but he said he was asked to sign the wall.

Wade Phillips didn't agree.

"It wasn't anybody from our organization that asked him," Phillips said, adding, "Things come back around in this league. I respect the team we play. That's the way I approach the game and I expect our players to do the same thing."
Bradie James was upset about Manning's signature and it's been a topic this week heading into the rematch.

"Eli is a classy player, a great player," Phillips said. "I really respect him, especially his family. I mean I played football against his dad in college. They're a great family. I don't think he meant anything by it but it wasn't a great thing for him to do."

The Giants open up a new stadium next year. Would the Cowboys sign a wall should they win?

"I wouldn't expect us to do that," Phillips said.

Wade sticking up for Eli really pisses me off. A simple "no comment" would have sufficed.

he is not sticking up for him.

That is wade saying right out, it was a bad move and we know you did it in your moment of victory to be a rick with a p.

no one is talking about the jockstraps, there would be no defensible way to explain that which is why i suspect none of the ny media who think this is really funny by the way have brought it up.

the same person who took that picture and alerted the nbc blog about it also said they hung their jockstraps on the mirrors and left them. So I believe it is true.

Reading comprehension fail

Hes saying Eli will get his because Things come back around in this league. What goes around comes around. Hes not giving them bulletin board material but you will bet there will be blood when we win.

Agree. I like that Wade discussed it. It was clear he wasn't happy about it. This pleases me.

Here is Eli's latest comment in response to the Cowboys using it for motivation.

"Yeah, I kind of heard a few things about it,'' Manning said. "I figure they'll eventually get over it."

I only see one, but the location of the finger seems more important than the number by my reckoning.
