Unfortunately, even if Eberflus does well, he is still young and will end up being a head coach candidate somewhere eventually too. I liked having an old guy like Marinelli who wouldn't get any HC looks at this point and we could keep for years.

I'm expecting us to lose coaches. Such is life.

We need to make sure we bring in some talent.

I have to say I believe in Garrett now. He impressed me a lot this season. I have confidence in him. Even when his decisions backfired (like today) I was still happy with the move. I think Garrett is too smart to let himself sink back into his old habits after seeing all the success this season. We'll stay committed to the run and Romo will continue to be more cautious with the ball. Now, the defense is a big question mark. It would suck if Marinelli left because he really had an untalented defense playing about as good as they could possibly have been expected to. We can fill some of the holes this offseason, but I think this the talent on defense is too bad to be able to turn into elite overnight. Without a coach who can get the most out of guys, we can be pretty average at best.

Me too. You can't move on to a new guy after you go 12-4 and just about make it to the championship game. But he absolutely needs a playcaller.

lol.

Holy over-reaction.

Some people should really think about taking a 24 hour to two month layoff from the boards after a tough loss cause you get this kind of silliness.

At no time, ever, has anyone proclaimed Rod anything even close to a God for this football team.

How does that statement have anything to do with how I feel over this loss? Lmao.....looks to me as my statement got you upset, so this is your way of lashing out at me and deflecting the fact you are emotional right now.

Well, if this is true, I appreciate what he did here. He took a defensive roster with very little talent and helped us win the division title and come damn close to playing in the NFC Championship game.

The step down from Marinelli to Eberflus is not nearly as concerning as the step down from Linehan to undetermined playcaller

I'll take that job.. Run right, left and up the middle. Make sure at least 50/50 ratio and keep Romo from throwing ball more than 30 attempts per game. In fact between 20-25 is optimal.
