A change to Romo means a change in the offense, and the entire team. Although many have stated that we have to pull in the reigns on Romo if he plays next week, I don't think that is possible.
Romo is what he is, a "gunslinger". If Parcells chooses to go with a "gunslinger", he must be willing to accept the "gunslinger" results. He cannot expect to turn him into Phil simms. It just will not work. What will win the Dallas Cowboys football games with Romo as our QB is exactly what we saw last night. He will sling it. He must be free to sling it.
So what to expect. Expect number a lot like 24-40, 325 yards 3 TD's, 3 Int's.
Expect final scores like 38-31.
Fact is, Romo will always have a propensity to throw interceptions. It's just his game. He will make great throws like we saw last night, and he will make bad throws, like we saw last night. Some compared him to a young Favre, and it seems logical. He should not be made to back off.
One thing is for certain, to get the best out of Romo, we have to let him be Romo, hope the great plays outweigh the mistakes, and plan on being in games where we have to try and outscore the competition. To tell him not to sling the ball, simply makes him no better than Bledsoe.
There will be no lack of excitement, but Parcells, and us for that matter, have to be ready and get used to the rollercoaster we are about to board.
