More to Cromartie than just a CB/FS

Although I wouldn't be upset w/ taking Cromartie early, we have a lot of youth (and an emerging nickle in Reeves) and money tied up to our secondary.

Not sure this was posted anywhere, but, according to the Ranch, he's supposed to come into Dallas for a visit sometime next week. Ranch is grading him as a 2nd rounder.

I wonder how many of these people who are talking about Cromartie being the "steal of the draft" actually saw enough of him in all of his one game started at FSU to make that decision.

The hip thing with Allen scares the **** outta me though. The kids a DB not a D-lineman or a fullback. His hips are his life's blood in this game. The gamble (if it paid off) could have HUGE dividends, but the thought of another Dwayne Goodrich just plain sucks.

I agree. Hips for a DB is like the throwing shoulder of a QB. I hope the kid is 100% back, but I'd rather we spent a top 1-2 or 3 pick on a healthy guy.

Cromartie was the team tallent on defense as a soph. This team's chemistry changed a bunch when he left the game.He is a differance maker and a freakish athlete.I have seen enough of him to know, that if he would have stayed his senior year he would have been a top 5 pick. They compare him to Deion, only being bigger. This guy is a game breaker,Best corner/safety to come out of the draft in 5 years

I watch some college football, not a lot, but Cromartie's a guy I remember being all over the field making plays. I couldn't tell if he had the speed to make a difference in the NFL, but apparently he does. He's a natural.
