ESPN's Chris Mortensen calls Alabama RT D.J. Fluker one of the "true rising" players over the last few weeks.
"Remember, most teams just began draft meetings in earnest last week," Mort added. That note is important, because draft "risers" are usually a media generated term. In draft meetings, multiple grades and opinions are discussed, and a final tally is given which places the prospect at a certain part of the draft board. Former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker tweeted that he knows of one team in the top 10 that loves Fluker. Apr 8 - 10:21 AM

I have always liked fluker,he will make a fine RT.

Hopefully someone takes him higher and in doing so pushes one of the OGs, or another good player, down to us.

Bingo.

USA Today's Tony Pauline cited sources who told him that Alabama T D.J. FLuker is a "real possibility" for the Dolphins at pick No. 12.

With the Dolphins showing interest in Eric Winston, the team appears to be moving towards implementing more zone blocking. We don't think this fits Fluker's game... at all. He's a power blocker with great arm length and drive, but his pass set can be quite slow. We only hope teams don't look at him as a left tackle, despite the weight loss

hope he's gone before 18 also .

A lot of people already have him well above 18.

I think Kiper just had him 12th.

There is this thing going around on the twitterverse about the Dolphins being interested in him (due to the other OTs already being taken) and possibly moving him to LT or keeping their RT and moving him to LT.

Either way it is odd that it is just now leaking out everywhere.

Which probably means they, the Dolphins, really want someone else and are leaking this info on purpose to keep someone else from trading up.

I see him going to the Giants at 19, after Warmack drops to us at 18. :)

I do think he does not get as much love at the CBZ vs. elsewhere.

This!

Dolphins who have Indy's 2 are rumored to be moving up for Lane Johnson FWIW. I think all three LTs will be gone top 7.

I think you're right....at the very least top 10. If Eric Johnson and Joeckle both go before Arizona at 7, they know Zona will take Johnson.

Those three OTs are just rare players at a highly valued position. I doubt the Phins would risk waiting on Johnson, as San Diego would be sprinting to the podium at 11 at the very latest.

If a team thinks Fluker could stick at RT and if moved play really well at guard I would take him over Warmack and Cooper.

I'm hoping other teams ahead of us think that way too.

I will say this.

If Richardson, Cooper, and Warmack are gone. Fluker would be a legit option, imo.

I don't see how someone who doesn't value Warmack would value Fluker. They seem to be similar players and it is doubtful either could play tackle effectively. The only difference being that Fluker is perceived to be able to play the position where Chance isn't.

From the looks of things, there are plenty of pro scouts that don't have a question about his ability to play tackle.

He doesn't get the love from this board that he gets from pro scouts and other fans. Most of the fans here, wants smaller, lean guys that plays finesse football.
