Fellas, did yall hear Mort on 103 trying to backtrack that he "never reported that Jerry and Tuna talked about a trade".

Funny, the way he was reporting it made it seem like a done deal. Now all of a sudden, he was "misquoted" apparently and now admits that Jerry was just thinking about the trade and figured MB3 would have to be included, BUT JERRY HAS NEVER SPOKEN TO THE DOLPHINS ABOUT THE PICK.

Translation-------Tuna was having his boy toy Mort put out the word that trade as "imment" to try a drum of some other activity because Miami cleary doesnt think anybody is worth $30 mill signing bonus in this draft.

Once the public outcry started about trading MB3 (amost nobody in the local or nation media supported the idea), Mort had to backtrack to save his rep.

I knew Jerry wasnt that ****** ********, total BS reporting by Mort IMO.

I like McFadden, but not at the cost it'd take to move up for him. If our pick from the Browns had turned out to be in the top 10, then I'd go after McFadden in a heartbeat. But as it is, no way. I do think we need a back to hopefully replace Julius, but the position is deep in the draft this year and we should be able to get a pretty good one at 22 or 28 if we choose to.

I think it's funny how ESPN runs that Marion Barber could be on the trading block on their NFL live show but now Mortensen has suddenly been misquoted.
He's been misquoted by his own network.
When will Mort ever learn?
Wasn't it CBS that broke the Parcells to Dallas story first? Yes it was.
And it was Parcells who was working for ESPN at the time who could have clued in Mortensen...but he didn't.
Now Mortensen is being used by the old-wise-one Parcells to stir up interest in the first pick being dealt.
Yo Mort...just because it is Parcells talking to you do not expect any special treatment from the Tuna.
He will feed you the same BS that anybody else will that has the first pick.

The draft isn't what it used to be. No one is worth 30 mil guaranteed without having actually TRIED to earn it. And these owners that keep bowing every year to these ridiculous demands are just making things worse. At the rate we're going, no one will want to draft in the top 5 at all.
