Romo was told to be ready at any given moment.

Also said that even though he denied it, Bledsoe did get treatment on his back all week.

And as a side note, I like Mike canary yellow suit, just wish he was wearing blue today of all days.

I just heard this.

He also quoted Parcells as saying to the media "I told you I was getting Romo to play this year."

Do you mean "ready to play"?

If Parcells had a dollar for every time somebody put words in his mouth he would not have to coach.

Parcells did say it in one of his PCs. It's in the recap. Parcells also added something to the effect that he doesn't know when he's gonna play, just getting him ready.

yea, he did say that.

4 weeks ago after romo played the entire first preseason game.

these "reporters" kill me.

bledsoe will have to have a HORRIBLE game tonight for tuna to make a change, and it would be for week 4 at the earliest. and that's probably being generous. i don't see a mid-game change unless we've already lost hope of winning, anyways.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen said the Cowboys told Tony Romo to be ready to play Sunday night.

Bledsoe had a terrible Week 1 effort, and it wasn't because of protection problems. If the Cowboys start slow this week, it wouldn't be a shock to see Romo get playing time.

It's nice suit but only he could get away with wearing it and I hate the huge knotted ties......just my personal opinion.

I personally can't wait for the Tony Romo era to begin.

With our mediocre O line, a QB with some kind of elusivness is an obvious necessity.

Are we sure it's a legit knotted tie? Remember he did caught at the draft w/the clip-on... :laugh2:

Cowboys | Romo on alert for Week 2
Sun, 17 Sep 2006 08:48:30 -0700

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo has been told to be ready to play in the Week 2 game. QB Drew Bledsoe (back) has been receiving treatment on his back, but he denies having a back problem.

The knot in his ties this season have been beyond ugly. Great big and stupid looking. I can't believe the fashion plate thinks he looks good with a tie like that.

It isn't even that he is 'mobile.' He just knows where to step in the pocket - he can move a step forward or left or whatever and still see the field.

I think a big part of this is when Vinnie was here, he sort of took Romo under his wing to teach him how to be a QB. One of the good things Vinnie had was that, even though he was slow as molasses, he could at least move in the pocket, something that he is very underrated for.

Honestly, our line was infinitely worse at pass blocking in 2004 than in 2005, but Vinnie could move a tad to keep it from being as bad as it should have beem.

Then he threw an interception.:laugh2:

Yes. He also told the reporters not to read too much into it. He said he was getting him ready to play. But he did not know when, or what the circumstances would be.

And wouldn't you want your back up ALWAYS ready to play.

When Drew Throws for 300 yards and 2 td's.. I am going to :laugh2:

at all you on the Romo bandwagon. Sure he looked good in preseason, but its just that. PRESEASON. I say draft a first round QB next year and let them battle it out for the QB of the Future.

Its only been one week.. If Drew is scrubbing up the place after week 4 make the change. Not after 2 weeks. Then again if Drew is actually hurt enough that it alters his mindset, throwing motion, or play on the field thus hurting the team rather than helping... by all means put in Romo.

But Im not convinced Division II "All Universe" will win this YEAR... This offense is built for this YEAR. FLO, GLENN, T.O, RIVERIA, BLEDSOE, and Bill arent getting younger. If you put Romo in now you might has well play to draft a Tackle/Guard/WR/ or QB with a top 15 pick for next year...

Just my 3 cents....

Well...if we're going to discuss fashion...I sure as hell hope Parcells wears a sports bra tonight...I find his manbreasts embarrassing...it's not a weight thing...he just needs to strap those puppies down on Sundays.

I suggest "layering". Even if it's September in Jacksonville, a light NFL-sanctioned vest would do a world of good. Or a Mexican style light poncho.

By December, it'll be cool enough for a Rhonda Shear bodysuit - spandex technologies are a wonderful thing, as long as they're utilized as under, not outer garments.
