I watched him more at UCF.
Can't say I have a good read on him, but to me he just feels like more of a very good college QB that maybe just caps out as that. Height wise, while someone like Tua can play QB in the NFL-if he learned how to slide and not go head first, Gabriel doesn't have the arm that Tua has. He's a bit more mobile than Tua, IMO.
His arm is decent, but wouldn't say his arm strength is any where near that 70mph number. Almost every internet scouting report mentions his lack of arm strength and how he has to time the "deep pass" and it's more of a lob than strike.
He has the ability to read the defense but just not sure he has the physical abilities to be a NFL QB.
To me, he's a decent prospect for a WCO, but scheme specific even for a backup role.
Day 3 guy, ok. But I rather see a boom or bust QB prospect with better traits.
