Mosher's mock

notre dame cb ben morrison or georgia de mykel williams are tempting.

There's almost a dozen dudes there who I would have a near identical grade on. That's going to be the problem with this first round... there's lots of good players, but few of them look like gamebreakers.

In this situation, I'm going with Banks. I think he's a legit tackle prospect, and that's probably the biggest "money" position among a bunch of similarly rated players. Campbell looks like a guard (a future 10-year starter at guard, in fairness to him), and I'm out on Simmons given his injury.

Another OT? A year after Guyton?
Good players are good players, and I'm not a Steele fan.

If you put a gun to my head... I'm taking Kelvin Banks or Mike Green

You cock the gun... Banks.

Steele should be nothing but a swing tackle. He is a shell of what he was. I don't think that will change. He is slow and has poor technique. No way should he be starting for us.

It was told to Broadus yesterday that Simmons injury is a Patella Tendon, drops him out at 12.
Trade back if possible, or take Banks who can play a RG/RT.
Then let your new Oline coach figure out your starting 5 ...

I don't agree with Mosher's pool of players because I can see more DL coming into play than what he's showing available i.e. Nolen, Harmon, Grant, Walker, Stewart etc.

But to play along definitely trade back, if possible, but I'd take Simmons injury and all.

Seeing a lot of cut Steele and move Guyton to RT talk on CZ since the end of the season. So, you guys trust in Guyton more than Steele to be adequate at RT?

If Simmons medical checked out, I’d go with him.

Otherwise, based strictly on the list shown in the tweet I’d go either Warren or Edbuka.
I would agree on Simmons, but they say it was patella tendon. I'd be afraid of him no matter what medical said. Remember, our medical staff told Jerry Jones that he was good to go drafting Jaylon Smith.

It's not a matter of trust, it's a matter of $$$. If nothing else, they should force a pay cut on Steele, he'll never get much on the open market as bad as he's been.

I've said it before on this site, and it bears repeating. When's the last time we drafted a player with medical, legal, or character issues, and those issues DIDN'T show back up.

Too soon to take Morrison. And he's coming off hip surgery and our track record of taking guys coming off injury their last year of college ain't the best.

In fairness, it was more than the medical staff on Jaylon. The actual surgeon gave them a thumbs up too.

I have a buddy who is an orthopod and he said at the time that even the best docs would be guessing at what would happen with that nerve and recovery. We took a big roll on a massive risk and got burned (well one year it seemed to work).

Goodness yes. He is stronger and faster and plays with better balance. He has an upside. At this point Steele is JAG, and an overpaid guy as well. Jerry has extended a fair number of folks who were no better then average at their positions. You don't extend guys that have no upside hoping they will get better.

there is alot of value there to trade down a bit if you could find a partner but Id also find it hard to pass on will cambell or simmons. I am concerned about simmons injury from last year and how hes slated to return
we're not we're going to draft him however injured he is

Would make sense if Dallas cut Steele before his bonus was due.

Shift Guyton to RT, play Campbell at LT.

Like the player, just not another pick at OL when the draft is loaded with potential studs at DT.
I take Nolen at 12.
That sounds good or you could trade down into the 19 to 20 range and draft DT Grant Michigan and get that 4th back or another 3rd.
