It sure would be nice to see him make it back to any game this season, but especially nice if he makes the Packers game. He knows this game is huge and I'm sure he wants to contribute.

We need his field stretching abilities.

Glenn never got a Super Bowl ring with the 2001 Patriots. He caught 14 passes, including a touchdown, in the four games he played between two suspensions, grievances and a salary dispute. The league suspended him for the first four games of that season for missing a drug test, and the Patriots stopped paying installments on his signing bonus.

When coach Bill Belichick suspended him for the rest of the season for conduct detrimental to the team, the suspension was overturned by an arbitrator.

When he missed more team meetings and practices, Glenn was suspended for New England's postseason run.

He threatened a federal lawsuit in a bid to recoup his signing bonus until all grievances were dropped when Glenn was traded to the Packers in March 2002 for a pair of fourth-round picks.

"I didn't even bother with the Super Bowl ring," Glenn says. "Although I played in games for them, I want to play in that Super Bowl-winning game for my team.

"I don't want to just be on the team and say, 'Hey, give me a ring.' No, I want to win and actually earn one here with this team."

Ironically it was Glenn in 2001 that had a monster game I believe in San Diego that helped change Pats season pre suspension.

He may not have a ring but had they lost that game their season may have collapsed.....

You can say he brought it on himself, just like Irvin, just like Moss, just like Rice early in his career and every other superstar WR. You have to be selfish, you have to have an attitude, and want the ball in your hands all the time.

I applaud, T.O. for his actions when he was with the 9ers. He was tired of guys coming to just collect a check, the were bad. His very first tirade with the 9ers, he said those exact things. They had just gotten blown out by the I cannot remember what team it was, right now, but the media , espn especially was with him, they applauded his competitiveness, and drive to win.

I'll admit that he took it to far by continuing to go off every week in that 2-14 season, but he did not tear that team down it was already down, LOL.

In philly, I agreed with him. His contract was 48 mil, but the way it was structured had him getting paid less than receivers that were #3 on their team's depth chart.

AS people now know McNabb was jealous, that being heard from players and media in philly. Plus, philly is notorius for being cheap. After what he helped them to the SB, and to come back and have the game he had in that game.

Yeah, we do need selfish players. Those players are the ones that drive the team to higher heights.

Selfish players can and are team players, Irvin, Emmitt, Rice, just to name a few.
 
what is the obsession with the media comparing the pats of this year to all those cowboys championship teams.

God that bores me to death. Especially when its mosely doing it.
 
Packer game is in 14 days and Glenn hasn't even begun running or practicing to test the knee?

Really doubtful.

Moreover, Rob Phillips on DC.com just wrote this on TG.

Wide receiver Terry Glenn is still rehabbing knee after his Sept. 13 arthroscopic surgery to remove loose cartilage, and there does not seem to be a timetable for him returning to practice. With the Cowboys playing three games in 12 days, Glenn would have no chance of returning before the Dec. 9 game at Detroit, if that.

If Glenn comes back and is even close to his normal effectiveness, I feel bad for any team facing us. With how the offense is rolling, you could bring him as a slot receiver to get him back up to speed with the offense and there is no team in this league that can cover Terry Glenn in the slot.

Payback..... and this time its for real.

Terry Glenn comes back this year. Becomes SB MVP en route to Cowboys beating the Patriots.

Then when they ask him where he is going now that he won the SuperBowl... he says I am going to DisneyLand.... followed by "the Patriots will not be getting a ring this year" ;)

You cant write this stuff...

I don't think anyone knows whats going on with his injury. You don't hear the team talking about it at all. No one has said anything so I don't know why the media is out there giving dates and stuff.

Mosely has heard rumblings hes trying to return? To me, that sounds like hes at least running which is more then Phillips is thinking when he says Dec. 9 at the earliest.

It wouldn't shock me one bit if TG all of sudden came up missing on the injury list and suited up later in the week.
 
If TG returns then, JG will have a WR down field. I expect him to open the playbook more.

I have the NFL Network and will tape the game for my brother who cannot wait to see the game.
 
Let me ask this if this years pats are the best team ever :ralph: should the Cowboys beat them in the SB does that make the Cowboys the best team ever?...
