The Odd Couple
October 8, 2007 5:33 PM
Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay knew Tony Romo before he achieved rock star status in the league. Kelsay and Romo roomed together while preparing for the draft at IMG in Bradenton, Fla., in 2003. Kelsay, a much higher-profile player coming out of Nebraska, had mostly good things to say about Romo, but said the quarterback's housekeeping skills were a little suspect.
"I'm a neat-freak, so it was a little trying at times," Kelsay said. "We had our own rooms, but had to share a living room. He was pretty bad."
In fact, former Cowboys center Al Johnson finally had to show Romo the door a few years ago when he refused to pick his stuff up. You have to think his next contract with the Cowboys could possibly put him in position to afford a maid.
"Other than being a slob, he's a great guy," Kelsay said. "He's earned what's about to come his way."
Kelsay, Romo and Cowboys right tackle Marc Colombo are all represented by agent Ken Kremer.
OK, I have to head over to the stadium now. I'll be back with you in a moment.
