Mosley Thinks Cowboy's "Window" Isn't Open

Well, Jerruh is right about one thing - we have wasted some talent with those guys he mentioned by not having better parts around them.

Jerruh sees those 9-7 record teams winning it all and he thinks we are just oh so close! One play here and another there and we could be the 9-7 team getting hot! He does believe . . . . . . . .

I can understand Mosley's POV.

The team is 14-18 over the past two seasons.

Until the team can show that it...

1. Can make the playoffs
2. Show that it can beat other top-ranked teams

It's not going to get a lot of respect.

It's a team with some talent that hasn't proven anything.

The window is Romo. Any team with a QB as good as Romo is in a window. Other things have to fall into place, but the QB is the key like always.

Could go either way, but I don't see a lot of reason for optimism right now.

Yep. Romo is our window. Soon enough we'll be back to Quincy Carter, Clint Stoerner, Aaron Brooks, Vinny, Drew, Chutch, Leaf and we'll say "Man I wish we would have given Romo a decent OL. He made the OL look OK. Why oh why didn't we help him?". We will go through Quincy Carter, Clint Stoerner, Aaron Brooks, Vinny, Drew, Chutch and Leaf again and finally get a new guy roughly as good as Romo.

Mosley doesn't understand what a window is then. Patriots went 5-11 the year before they won the super bowl.

Giants went 9-7 last year...

We're absolutely within our window.

What do all these guys have in common?

People suggest that it's so difficult to find a quarterback, and to an extent that is true, but when you look in the trash bin, you're mostly going to find trash.

Quincy Carter was a 2nd round draft pick, and most people would say he was a reach. Drew Henson was a hail mary that didn't pane out, and only cost us a 3rd round draft pick.

We should have drafted a qb in the first round any one of those years.

You make it sound like we missed in the draft year in and year out with QBs... That isn't even close to being the case.

When I asked Claiborne on the night of the draft whether he knew how many playoff games the Cowboys had won over the past 15 seasons, he didn't have a clue. And that's a good thing.
I love how classy the DFW media is, just love it.

In the era of parity the window IS when who ever decides to open it does so.

So sick of this "window" talk.

Blah, blah, blah...

Just ask yourself one question: is it possible for the Cowboys to win the SB in the next few years? Yes or no? Is it possible?

Mosley is just stirring the pot like most of his kind do because that's pretty much all they know how to do.

How about the fact that we just drafted a stud corner? Or the fact that we have several terrific young players who on the verge of elite status? Or how about the fact that we have one of the top quarterbacks in the game? That enough reason for optimism? I think so.

Yeah, it is a stupid thing.

When one window gets shut, there are other windows that can open up.

The 49'ers windows, doors, and closets (thought I would throw in 'closets' because it's in San Fran :p: little sweeties) were shut for a long time, and they almost had a chance to win the big one last year.

Every team is different from year to year...and for fools to throw out this "window" crap is disgusting!

The "Dream Team" thought they had a wide open window last year according to some...but, guess what happened? That window broke before it ever opened!

The catch word of the moment is window. Tell us about your window. Is your window open, opening, closing, or closed?

Someone got the owner to say the word window, so naturally the DFW media has seized upon this word and metaphor and it has opened all new windows of articles for them.

They can see as they have never seen before.

Teams want players who will run through walls for their teammates and coach. In reality they just need to dive through the open window.

Most computers open and what do we see? Windows.

Pardon the puns.

The article is fairly positive, if anyone actually bothers to read it.

Might be the truest thing you've ever said.

The cowboys window was from 2007-2009 to win a superbowl

do i think the window is open now? yes, i think we can win a superbowl this year if our secondary plays better and we close out these games

Why would you assume that people didn't read it?

In my experience, most people just read the summary and draw conclusions from that.
