According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, the Tennessee Titans were awarded wide receiver Randy Moss off of waivers.

Didn't 21 teams pass on him in the draft? :laugh2:

Moss plans to report to the Titans, league sources told Schefter.

If Moss does not report to the Titans, Tennessee will send him a "5-day" letter and at the end of that five days, they have the right to put him on the Reserve/Left Squad list. He would be out for the remainder of the season once the club takes that action. Moss' status for next year would be determined by terms of the new collective bargaining agreement.

At the moment, Merriman plans to report to Buffalo, sources told Schefter. He is not, however, expected to play Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

The Miami Dolphins had also planned to place a waiver claim for Merriman.

Moss is going to love VY. lol

If Moss comes in with a good attitude, this could be a good marriage between players. VY is best at throwing the long routes and Randy Moss can go up and catch passes with the best of them (not as much as he did in the past, but still). If he can help open up their passing game, then CJ will become a bigger factor. If Moss wants to win, this is a pretty good opportunity for him.

Makes sense ...with the injury to Britt they needed a deep threat (if he still is one).

Four games and he is back on the waiver wire.

You better believe he will. The best thing VY does is throw deep and he sure doesn't mind throwing into double coverage so no reason for Moss to quit on routes. Moss is also great on broken plays when the QB scrambles. Yep, he is going to love VY.

But the Titans have claimed Randy Moss.

So I am relieved that we haven't added that circus to our locker room!

Naw, we weren't at all interested. That was a pure media fabrication. The story is more interesting if the Cowboys are mentioned.

Anybody that doesn't think the loss of Moss hurt the Patriots is just in denial. There is a reason the media was talking about the possibility of him actually returning to the Patriots. The Patriots offense has declined in production and they should have lost to the Chargers and Ravens.

Huge addition if Moss is actually interested... The running game has opened up for the best back in the league. Teams no longer can really stack the line and the play-action they run is going to allow Moss to get open often. It's a perfect match...

I was thinking the same thing for Johnson.

If Randy shows up motivated, and ready to play, his presence and the fear of him catching deep balls will back the defense up thus making an already extremely dangerous running game, even more dangerous.
