Moss is a lucky one

He can jump ship... he wasnt really part of atleast the beginnings of the spygate and could claim he didnt know too much

He will cash in and detach himself from this mess.

My bet - he doesnt stay with Pats.

I bet that he does.

He'll never find a better QB or a more pass-happy system to get him the ball.

Moss isn't going anywhere. After setting the record for most TD's in a season he would probably play for free next season.

Moss is not smart enough to jump ship.

They gave him everything he ever wanted ..... stats and records.

He would be the perfect deep threat to complement T.O.

Fans will have underestimated Jerry Jones if they think Dallas does not look into potentially bringing Moss in.

I don't think RM is loyal to anyone but himself. If he is offered a big contract by a team that has a QB and is competitive, he will roll.

He's already said he wants to retire a Patriot.

Roy Williams said he wants to stay in Detroit.

The fact of the matter is that Moss had to ressurrect his career to get one last big pay-day. He can get that anywhere besides the Patriots. In fact, he can get more, because that organization is known for not paying big money. He actually took a step-down to sign with the Patriots. His contract payed him cheese, even though he did get certain bonuses.

All he needs is a good QB, and pass protection that allows him to actually get downfield for him to be happy. Moss isn't going to complain if his team is competitive, and is in the Super Bowl hunt.

He'll never find a better QB or a more pass-happy system to get him the ball.

Brady would have never put up those numbers with Moss. If I was Brady, I would be more worried about Moss leaving, then the other way around. Moss has put up similar numbers with the Minnesota Vikings. Brady was playing 'lights-out' because of Moss. So was Welker.

I think Moss wants the ring more than anything. This was evident by signing with Pats.

I dont think its about stats for him.

NOW he can potentially have the best of both worlds... he can go to a team that has a good chancing of winning SB AND GET PAID.

IMO... If this story gets hotter - he will divorce the Pats.

He wanted a Superbowl. Thats why he left the Raiders and took less money.

The Cheatriots* can franchise him and just shift Samuel's money to help cover the cost. Of course the Cheatriots* are tight in cap space already.

It's probably in their best interested for Moss to resign for small money like he did or just let him go.

Now, how about the Cowboys sign Moss to team with TO at wideout and draft Jordy Nelson out of Kansas State to be their Wes Welker next season along with Chris Johnson at RB? :laugh2:

TO - Nelson - Witten - Moss - Anderson/Hoyte/Schmitt (make ya happy Hostile?) - Barber/Johnson

He's playing with an elite QB, in an elite offense, on an elite team, coming off a great season, record breaking stats........and on a team that will probably contend for the Super Bowl again next year.

Yeah. Easy to see why he'd want to jump ship.

I remember a "book it" on the Packers beating the Bears a few months ago:laugh2:

Moss staying is not a lock by any stretch.

He says he still wants to be a Patriot, but he didn't sound so enthusiastic after the SB loss. He said he wanted to be in a Pats jersey next year, but if not the show must go on. That just seemed like an awkward thing to say.

That being said, I could see them franchising him cause NE are a bunch of a penny pinchers and have let talent that cost less walk. Guys like Asante are nothing more than a product of the system and can be replaced. You cant say the same about Moss and his price tag is gonna be vicious after this season.

I agree. Brady was pretty damn good with nobodies at WR, but when he finally had a good corps he was unbelievable.

That being said, Welker was great underneath, but if teams game planned to take away Welker, he would probably not be nearly as effective. Most teams gave up the underneath stuff to Welker, especially in the playoffs, and took away the big plays to Moss.

RE: Super Bowl. Im surprised NE got away from running the ball so much. 16 carries in a defensively dominated ball game? I thought that was dumb. And the fact that they refused to adjust and keep in more blockers to deal with the pressure. Sort of laughable

He's not going anywhere, at least this year. If they can't sign him long term it's highly likely that they will simply Franchise tag him and ensure he doesn't leave for at least another year.

Anyone who thinks that Jerry would actually bring him here, and potentially mess up the chemistry of the offense trying to get him and TO to work together is just crazy.

You're putting your fantasy thinking caps on rather than your, this is the real world, thinking caps.

I seriously doubt him and Romo would be a good fit anyway. Romo's got an accurate quick release, but he doesn't have much of an arm and Moss is pretty one sided with what he does on the field. Just simply running down his lane trying to catch the bomb while hardly ever going thru the middle or running slants.

DUDE - Jordy Nelson is 6'3" 215 LBS. He ain't no Wes Welker. He's closer to TO than Welker. BTW - I'd love to have him.
