It was dull for sure, he's just amused by your youth, don't take it bad.

I know I'm young compared to everyone else here that's why I'm asking the older folks if there's have been a more boring title game.

im a whopping 26 years old, so i can tell you from my vast experience, that was the most boring game i have ever seen that wasnt completely out of hand. this was a 2 score game at worst for most of the game.

i did get pretty far in super mario 3d land while watching this game though, so thats good. i barely played while watching the saints and broncos games.

2000- Oklahoma/Fla State
2000- Baltimore/NY Giants

Plus this were the 3 worst I have ever seen....

I work with a Alabama fan, and she said this game would probably be bad if it wasn't her team.

I enjoyed it but then I like seeing hard hitting defensive games. Nothing wrong with an NBA style game where teams almost score at will but now and then I enjoy seeing a hard hitting defensive battle and last nights game was just that.

I didn't watch.

The first game was boring as hell so I knew this game wouldn't be any better.

You missed perhaps the most dominating defensive performance ever in a top-tier matchup such as this.

I Loved it.

LSU was undefeated, having beaten several ranked teams.
They crossed midfield one time.
Alabama defense was amazing.

The LSU defense played pretty good too, or it would have been 45-0.

I enjoyed the 1st game between these 2 immensely. Both teams hit hard and do all the little things right.

How many stupid penalties did you see out of Bama last night? Were there any? I enjoy watching a team play smart football, grudgingly, since it was bama.

No jumping offsides repeatedly. No illegal formations. No silly blocks in the back. No lining up offsides. No touching the ball after they went out of bounds. Etc. etc etc

And yet we're told that penalties can't be coached. I think I heard that Alabama averaged 3 or 4 penalties per game throughout the year, and that they had 1 penalty last night. Why? Because Saban is a phenomenal coach. Alabama has a ton of talent, and probably no less than half a dozen 1st rounders playing for them last night, but then, LSU probably has that many as well. There isn't a tougher defense that Alabama can face (outside of practice) than what they faced last night....but I don't think their offense committed a single penalty, even though they were facing the toughest opponent the college ranks has to offer.

That's a stark contrast between the idiocy of the Cowboys' professional players and Alabama's college kids. Night and day.

Bama had 1 penalty on LSU last punt after the mark off LSU still had to punt and their punter shanked it. LSU I think had 5 flags on the night, most them off sided but given how Bama defense was playing that did not come as a surprise to see LSU with some false starts.

To each their own.

I love a good defensive struggle in regular match ups and such.

I don't like for the 'biggest college game of the year' to come down to a defensive battle.

I'm weird like that I suppose. :)

this was a terrible game, no better than any other lopsided game. you cant convince me that Boise State, OSU or Stanford wouldnt have made a better matchup. this is why two teams from one conference shouldnt play each other in the title game. same goes for two big 12 or pac 12 teams, it would be the opposite, all offense, no defense.

Yeah. it was boring.

Alabama's defense is pretty epic though. Maybe a once in a decade type D.
To me they seemd like the better team even when they lost earlier this year. All the missed FGs and the endzone tug-of-war reception/interception did them in.

Still, the layoff appeared to really affect LSU. They were just so flat and out of synch. The built-in problem with the BCS title game (and many of the bowls) is you always have a risk that by playing a game a month and half after the season has ended that one team will just not be clicking at all.

Sometime, in bowls games, you witness two teams that don't even resemble the teams that were playing a month earlier.

40-50 days between games is just unimaginably preposterous.

in hindsight, i wish Bama would have won convincingly in the first game, then maybe we wouldnt have been put through a god awful rematch.

part of the reason for more flags in the NFL is all the really stupid rules thee and the fact that the officials like to see themselves on TV

The best part about that game was hearing Brent Musburger say "Honey Badget don't care!". :lmao2:
