A thread for discussion. What do you think are the key elements in Tony Romo's success?
I think it starts at the offensive line. But I don't think it stops there.
It's obvious that Romo wouldn't be as successful as he is if it weren't for the players and coaches around him. He's got what it takes. There is no doubt about that. But even great quarterbacks, like Romo, have bad games when something isn't clicking.
It seems to me that this offensive line gives Tony Romo--just enough time to do what he needs to do to be successful. Whether it's standing in the pocket, or espaping pass rushers around the edge. Its seems like that's where the whole offensive schema starts, as it should. And I know that there are other elements involved with this outstanding cast, so that's why I made this thread.
The most important element to me, and I think that we got lucky with additions like Colombo, is the O-line.
I take nothing away from Romo or Witten (who played a great game). But my ball goes to the O-line.
Thoughts?
