Believe it or not it's GB vs. TB.

If somehow someway TB pulls off the upset, Dallas will be a handful of games away from a #1 seed. And before you respond that a handful is a lot, each of these games, the favorite just has to win.

Detroit would have to beat Chicago. GB would have to beat Detroit in GB. Arizona has to lose its last 2 games.

And Dallas has to win out.

The 2 seed would be even easier, because Arizona could win a game or two.

It's a lot of ifs. But if the first domino falls in Tampa Bay, then I like Dallas' chances.

If, and since, Washington beat Philadelphia, then I think TB at home, can have a chance against GB
It is an old rival game from years past when they were in the same division together. May or may not mean much, but you never know.

Why does AZ have to lose out? Isn't Seattle winning out enough?

As you can see only the top six remaining NFC games matter at all in terms of the playoffs. Winners in Green.

1. If AZ loses to Sea, it may become a WC which I think helps us. We would match up well against them.
2. I thought Buf had a chance to upset GB. Of course the Bucs do its just very very small.
3. I'd rather play Car so I'm pulling for Atl which would need to beat NO then lose to Car.
4. Dal needs to win today to clinch and stay in the hunt for the #1 or #2 seed likely the latter if at all. #3 is likeliest.
5. Car needs to beat the Browns although if they want to have a chance at the #4. A game in Charlotte is close to me.
6. Rams likely beat NYG but this is likely to be a good game to watch if anyone here cares enough. Likely good football.
7. Fins over Min in another good but mostly meaningless game.

Not that it matters now, but if Seattle won the division, AZ wouldn't matter in regards to the bye.

only if Detroit/GB finish 11-4-1 correct?

Everytime I think I have these scenarios down, I find another kink

Well, only division winners are eligible for a bye. If Seattle won their division, AZ wouldn't be eligible, regardless of tie breakers they would have over other division winners.

The only reasonable shot now is AZ losing out, and Seattle losing next week.
