Like Mazi but not sure he has the immediate impact.

Cooks is an upgraded (and full-season) version of TY HIlton.

Gilmore is signifcantly better than Anthony Brown. Would love to see if his patience and discipline rubs off on Diggs at all.

I’m happy with ALL of them but I think Cooks can have the biggest impact in 2023.

I love Gilmore, but I think he’s closer to the end between the two vets.

And I think Mazi will have a rookie adjustment period and may not generate stars at the nose tackle position.

for those who voted Mazi and Gilmore, I would remind them that this defense only gave up 310 total yards and 19 points against one of the best offenses in the Niners play-off game…..the defense was plenty good enough before getting Mazi and Gilmore

However, the greatest hope is that Cooks can help an offense that scored 1 TD and 12 points against the Niners in that same game…….yes, Pollard went down but the passing offense went AWOL as usual in big games
I don't think Mazi is only going to be used in running situations. If he's coming up the middle it means the QB can't step up in the pocket.

Agree 100%. We saw several quarterbacks run up the gut on us because we couldn’t get a push up through interior pocket…….Mazi will definitely help that situation

Gilmore, only because it's going to take Smith time. Our pass rush was pretty good last year, and now we've added another ball hawk to the secondary. Flustered and pressured quarterbacks had better be deadly accurate or Gilmore or Diggs are going to take it to da house!

If smith can develop into a guy who can impact the passing game he may be the most impirtant
But he hasn’t played a snap yet

Brandin Cools had a thousand yard season with three different teams which mean three different QB's. That tells me he can adjust quickly to his new QB's style.

Gallup will be better than last season but three high quality receiving threats should help Dak improve and as Dak goes, so do the Cowboys.

Looking back at last season, one of Dak's greatest issues was lack of open targets that he used to have when Cooper was there. He had to try to force too many in.
I wish his name was Brandin Cools. That's bad***.

I’m going with Gilmore.

Jordan Lewis may not be ready, not sure how brown is recovering, and prior to his signing our depth was severely lacking. He will be the #2 corner with bland covering the slot

Mazi. They're going to have to win with defense and that nose tackle is for sure more impactful than that cornerback.

- Tough choice between Cooks and Gilmore
Both add ons kept us off early WR and CB high priority draft picks.
But I voted Cooks because of what it could mean for our franchise QB.

- Neither cost us a high premium pick. Mid season Texans demanded a 2nd rd pick, but offseason they settled for a late rounder.
Gilmore is not close to his pre-ACL injury form, but he is still a quality No.2 CB. You're not gonna have a field passing on him, and
he's gonna come away with INT picks. His vet presence will add stability.

- On paper- we've never come close to having such a talented secondary across the board since the 90's days of
Deion, Woodson, ..from starting CBs,(Diggs, Gilmore) to nickel (Bland, Lewis) to safeties (wilson, kearse, Hooker and Izzy)

- Cooks has always been one of the NFL's premiere speed burners at WR. He will stretch the field and get over the top of defenses in a blink.
And he will provide great run after catch open field skills.
Though we have Gallup, i feel it will be Cooks that will be the key No. 2 WR guy for Dak.

- Without Mazzi, we still have vet Hankins who immediately made his presence felt after the trade for him. We were a totally different defense without him.

Plus, when you are forced to start Noah Brown, that means your receiving corps is weak.

Even without Gilmore, we would have Diggs and Bland to start and Lewis to play nickel. Without Mazi, we still have Hankins as our 3-tech. Without Cooks, we would have had to make a major move at WR because even if we count Lamb and Gallup as the starter, we have no proven third receiver ... and we saw how making a bargain-basement move there worked out last year.
Hankins as our 1 tech.

The Defense is fine. The success of this team solely rests on the play of the QB.

The Cowboys could have been the best defensive team in the league the last 2 years and it wouldn't have mattered.

Cooks and it's not even close. Of the three, he's the only one who can have any impact on the other two.

Run defense doesn't matter in general, and it certainly doesn't matter if you have a competent passing offense. Gilmore is better when you force teams to play catch up.
