Who would you argue is the most Improved player of 2025? I'd argue either Turpin or Tolbert.

I would have liked to see Turpin get more looks and plays geared around him.

Tolbert also steppes it up quite a bit and I expect him to get closer to 1,000 yards next season, barring injury.

Tough question. Most of the true progression seemed to come from the 1st year guys, but if we are talking about the jump from 2024 to 2025 I'd probably say Dowdle. A lot of doubt pre season that he was even an average RB, but really had a very good season despite an underwhelming supporting cast on this offense.

Turpin is a good pick, but I don't think he sees the field enough to take it over Dowdle. Tolbert I look at as an improved player....but more in a Mazi type of way. He still wasn't very good and his numbers are mostly from a high volume of snaps rather than quality play on the field.

He seemed to wear down a bit back half of the year, but Chauncey Golston probably deserves consideration as well.

Of the two, Tolbert is the more improved in the last 12 months. Turpin did last year what he could've done in '23, if not '22

Like both players alot . However Kneeland was begining to come on when he was hurt . I expect bigger things from the 2nd rounder . Re sign Lawson then you have Parsons & Williams seems like Edge not nearly the need DT is .

Brock Hoffman

Finished the season with a 98.7 pass-blocking efficiency grade via PFF (min 20% of the snaps). That’s tied for 11th best among all offensive linemen in 2024. He allowed just 6 pressures and 1 sack across 286 pass snaps.

Plus, he's nasty. Loves to instigate trouble...gets inside opposing players heads

I expect Beebe to take his game to the next level but I'm hopeful Guyton will solidify himself as a LEGIT starting LT. We really need him to make that jump but he has to want it and quite frankly we are not sure he does. Even McCarthy called him for lack of commitment and that's not good, especially as a rookie.

Id put my money on Liufau. He is supposedly a film junky

You mean 2024. Hard to say who was the most improved. Turpin was already pretty good. Tolbert has improved but still not very impressed with him. Had he been better we might not have given up a 4th for Mingo. Not sure Tolbert will see a second contract.

to really see improvement?

overshown, what we were seeing on the field to not jsut become what most thought but to actually be doing it. Wow, he really took teh next step and some of the rookies really came on. I think Zimmer helped, but i think some of the offense guys got a lost year because the scheme and McCarthy just couldnt get it going. Left a lot to be desired. Hoffman as another poster put, good choice.

2024 is letft in the books with not a lot of positives, but 2025, depending on JJ, already looking UP.

Getting Mingo was about Cooks not Tolbert.
If they were thrilled Tolbert he could have replaced Cooks but it’s obvious he’s not a number 2 receiver. The Cowboys were looking for another option that could compete for the position. That’s why they traded a 4th for Mingo who only caught 17 passes for 167 in 8 games. Once you get passed CeeDee we don’t have much at WR. There’s some that think the Cowboys could go WR with their first pick. It’s not likely but you never know.

Other then McMillian I see no other WR the Cowboys should go round one on . The defense needs help badly .

I was disappointed to a degree in a 7 win season half way through and MM still had a Flournoy inactive or a Brooks rarely got targeted. All of a sudden in the Carolina game Brooks & Tolbert caught TD’s on plays that Rush extended . It was good to see .

Hopefully the new coaching staff can open things up maybe get Dak to go through his progressions spread it around . Dorsey was a QB in the NFL briefly maybe Dak hearing from a different source helps .

The defense definitely needs help but we need some playmakers on offense. CeeDee needs a threat opposite him. Not to mention we need a threat at RB.

If Jalen Tolbert has a modest goal say 1000 yards 8 TD’s after playing through his rookie contract yes keep him . You’ve spent 4 yrs developing him by the end of the year .
