Most Improved Player of 2025?

Who would you argue is the most Improved player of 2025? I'd argue either Turpin or Tolbert.

I would have liked to see Turpin get more looks and plays geared around him.

Tolbert also steppes it up quite a bit and I expect him to get closer to 1,000 yards next season, barring injury.
If we bring in a vet or draft a WR early, neither of those are happening.

to really see improvement?

overshown, what we were seeing on the field to not jsut become what most thought but to actually be doing it. Wow, he really took teh next step and some of the rookies really came on. I think Zimmer helped, but i think some of the offense guys got a lost year because the scheme and McCarthy just couldnt get it going. Left a lot to be desired. Hoffman as another poster put, good choice.

2024 is letft in the books with not a lot of positives, but 2025, depending on JJ, already looking UP.
I change my answer to Overshown.

He has the potential to be Darren Woodson type player but at the LB position

when the books close on 2025....dt mazi smith will be your most improved player.
I hope so.

Really, though, this is a young team. Part of me thinks we need a young QB.

But then I think, could the Cowboys even pull the trigger on Shedeur Sanders if they wanted to?

The answer is no.

I believe our young team will get better. But we still need to focus on our trenches as a philosophy.

The most competitive we've ever been in the past 30 years or so is when we've had A level play in the trenches, on at least one side of the ball with the other side giving solid play.

Both sides are important, so if I'm the Cowboys, I spend 5 picks this year on OL/DL.

Jalen Hurts proved you don't have to be Patrick Mahommes to win a SB

Dak could too, if we had the right pieces. And if we can get better from within.

we gotta build inside out.

I hope Dak Prescott is the most improved player of 2025 ,and he should be with what is being built around him .As for the roster Turpin will continue to blossom as will Dowdle these players play with effort. On defense I see Chauncey Golston and Marist Liufau these are players to watch .Good Post.

If they were thrilled Tolbert he could have replaced Cooks but it’s obvious he’s not a number 2 receiver. The Cowboys were looking for another option that could compete for the position. That’s why they traded a 4th for Mingo who only caught 17 passes for 167 in 8 games. Once you get passed CeeDee we don’t have much at WR. There’s some that think the Cowboys could go WR with their first pick. It’s not likely but you never know.
It would be nice to see Mingo get going and we can trade down and get that 4th round pick back that would be sweet.

A part of me wants Mingo to bust hard to prove to Jerry it was a bad trade but on the other hand, I have no ill will toward the player himself and I'm going to keep watching this team so I hope he can at least contribute. He's got the body type.

People still believe in Tolbert? (Or Mingo?)

I want to say Guyton, and it could happen, but I don't know what his issues were last year. So I'll go with Kneeland becoming a good, solid player and Beebe going from promising rookie learning on the job to stud center.

I think we really need two players to make big development strides and they are both former second round picks.
  • Sam Williams
  • Marshawn Kneeland
Getting these guys to at least be reliable and capable of making an occasional big play would be a huge step forward.

Sam Williams is in the last year of his rookie deal and has yet to be what he was drafted to be because of injury and immaturity. Kneeland had some injury problems his rookie year too although he flashed a few times last year.
