I probably agree with you.

My answer is not really predicated on who I might think we would bring in, or even if Romo is the guy or not.

I just believe that until you have a quality starting QB on the roster, that's always going to be your biggest need. Because we are not sure what we have, my answer is QB.

Yes, I agree. For a long time, defense to the whole, "We should sign a QB" has been, who? Over the years, I think there have been some good opportunities to sign QBs. Not all of them were great but we have had our share of opportunities I think. When it's all said and done, I think we've always looked for the bargin basement QB option as opposed to the upside of the player. JMO of course but I agree with you. We have passed on lots of opportunities.

Those kind of blockbuster trades happen in the midst of the season in baseball, but not in football.

The problem with Bledsoe is it's like using a 1st or 2nd year guy without the upside of knowing he stands to get better (if not better "enough"). He makes the same kinds of mistakes that those guys do.

That said, theres nobody to trade for although I'm not as worried about getting the franchise QB as some people are. Oh sure that would be great but anymore it's more or less a year to year proposition in the NFL as to whether you can get it done or not as a team.

Yeah it would be nice to settle that one position for many years to come but then it would just be a different unit/position that would be your downfall.

Obviously QB aint the end all be all alone when it comes to at least getting to the SB because theres a gob of guys that have been there in the last 10 years who werent primarily responsible for getting their team there and probably wont or cant ever be there again.

The Chandlers, Dilfers, Collins, Johnsons, Gannons etc. Even the McNairs, Delhommes, Hasselbecks, Big Bens etc didnt exactly have to be a Marino like passer to find themselves there.

Unfortunately the guys BP has chosen to trot out like QC, Vinny and DB arent really even as good as those above at this point.

Oh, to answer the question then.. o-line. A KO/Punt returner that isnt totally pedestrian might be nice to have as well.
