Here are the nominees... (Please stick to the nominees do not add just vote and reason why.)

1. LaRon Landry In the NFL.com power rankings for tackles he is tied for 40th place. His Two biggest games in wich he realy paded his stats were both losses to the Giants and Patriots. I guess he did get alot of tackles but he obviously didn't slow down any production what so ever.
Giants - 24 Points 232 yards passing
Patriots - 52 Points 306 yards passing

2. Shawn Merriman While Shawn has proven in previous seasons to be a force he has seemed to drop off the map since he was forced to stop using roids. He had 17 sacks last year and this year only 5.

3. Reggie Bush He was drafted #2 overall by the saints and was anoited the next great running back. This year there are 27 other running backs out playing him. So out of 32 teams 27 of them have better running backs then the golden boy.

4. Andy Reid While you can't argue that he is a great coach after turning one of the worst franchises in the history of the NFL into the Bills of this decade minus 3 superbowl apperances. He is still the most overated father EVER! His children have more charges against them then his team has wins and have been cought stuffing drugs up there butts.

The Eagles were not one of the worse franchises in NFL history when Reid took over. They did have a bad record the year before he took over. They had to do some re-building because their talent got old or left via free agency, but they were far from one of the worst franchises.

I don't think Jeffery Laurie or GM Tom Heckert have done much to help Reid keep the eagles on top. Questionable draft picks recently have hurt them allowing some good players to get away while still way under the cap.

Reggie Bush has 767 total yards and 6 TD's through 9 games

He isnt a pure running back. Hes a different type of player. Not the simple proto type RB people are used to.

You cant judge him with a regular RB because that is not what he is.

He is a Swiss Army knife... Not a Machete.

Two words:Brian Billick

- Mike G.

It is funny that Billick became the HC of the Ravens because he was considered an offensive guru and yet since he has been with the Ravens their offense has never been that good.

I agree, but this about when Reid took over for Rhodes. The Eagles have been a good franchise for quite a while now. They have had some down years now and then, but mostly competitive. When I think of one of the worst franchises in NFL history I think of the Bengals, Cardinals and Buccaneers during their losing and inept years. Dallas too has had some terrible years, but never seemed as lost as those franchises.

Umm? Never winning a superbowl in the teams history? That is pretty bad...
Reid took over in 99 in 98 the eagles were 3-13. Get your facts before you post.

You are correct, he should not be judged as a regular RB. Even in what he does, he is still not doing that well. He is averaging 3.76 yards per rush and 5.53 yards per reception this season. That is not good no matter how you look at it. He doesn't produce a lot of big plays this season and has done nothing in the return game. I still think it is way too early to call him a bust, but you can't be happy with that kind of production.

I look at Maurice Jones-Drew and see a similar type back. He too will not be a 1500 yard a season rusher. He is averaging 5.31 yards per rush and 10.22 yards per reception this season. He has been big in the return game. That is production.

It should not be too much to ask for Bush to average over 4 yards per rush. He does not to be over 5, but come on 4 should be the minimum for any good back whether that is 20 or 10 carries per game.

Bucs have won a superbowl. Eagles haven't. Do you know anything about football or do you just pull stuff out your arse? lol

What? I said they had a bad record before Reid took over. Did you miss that? Don't tell me when or what to post.

Having a single 3-13 season does not make the franchise one of the worst in history. Was Dallas one of the worst franchises in NFL history when they went 3-13 in 88 and then 1-15 in 89? No. It meant they had bad teams at that time, but over all it was still one of the premier franchises. They had the means to get better and improve over the years. Perennial losing franchises take forever to resurrect from very bad seasons. The Cardinals were bad for a long time and when they got good they still were not very good and in no time at all were back to losing a lot more than they won.

Not winning a Superbowl doesn't make a a franchise one of the worst in history, either. That just prevents them from being one of the best franchises in NFL history. The Eagles are an above average franchise and have been for a long time. I don't think they are in the class of the Cowboys overall, but they are easily above the Cardinals and Bengals.

Do you just read small portions of a post or sentence before you reply? Did you watch the Bucs play from 1983-1996? Here is a run down:

1983
2-14

1984
6-10

1985
2-14

1986
2-14

1987
4-11

1988
5-11

1989
5-11

1990
6-10

1991
3-13

1992
5-11

1993
5-11

1994
6-10

1995
7-9

1996
6-10

Reid faced nothing like that when he took over the Eagles.

When did they have winning seasons? in 80 and 81? That was the only time before ried took over. The made wild card a few times with a less then good record.
I never said they were THE worst I said one of. And they are. They are the most pethetic franchise ever.

Staying current, how about Sean Taylor, he's only slightly better than Roy in coverage.

Honestly, this 'award' should truly be renamed as the 'Bush' award...NO ONE and I mean no one has been more overhyped and overrated in recent years than Reggie Bush...More evidence of how overrated he is how he's in a question with the others who are MUCH better than he is.

LaRon Landry?...Come on, he's a rookie and on defense...Waaaay too early to consider him overrated...And 40th on the list?...Isn't that ahead of ANY Cowboy?...Pomalaomu (NO idea how to spell his name) was pretty subpar his rookie season and see now.

Merriman?...He's a passrusher and hardly can be considered overrated.

Not even close. There's much, much worse teams. At least the Eagles *got* to a superbowl.
