Most Pressing Need in my Opinion

The most pressing need would actually be firing Jason Garrett but since that is not happening I will give my 2nd biggest need. Some of you will not like hearing this because it is not a splashy/sexy thing to do. However, I think our biggest need is fixing our OLine. Our biggest strength in 2016 was the OLine. We totally destroyed that OLine in one offseason.

1) We let Ronald Leary walk in free agency which left a hole at LG.
2) We moved La'el Collins from LG to RT when he has played LT and LG his entire college and pro career. To me this gave us holes at LG and RT. If we were not going to sign Leary then we should have just left Collins at LG. That would have just left a hole at RT.
3) We tried to plug in Chaz Green at LG when the guy can't even stay healthy. Not to mention he has played RG and RT his entire college and pro careers.
4) When Chaz Green did not work out we had to got to a scrub (Cooper) who has failed everywhere he has been. He played OK but was definitely a down grade from having either Leary or Collins at LG.
5) Tyron Smith could not stay healthy and our first solution was to replace him with a guy (Green) that could not stay healthy and stunk at playing LG. If he can't handle LG then he sure as heck was not going to be abler to handle LT.

My solutions:

1) Move Collins back to LG. Make that move and your only weakness on the OLine is RT unless Tyron Smith continues to struggle with injuries. Use the draft or free agency to find your next RT. Hint for finding RT: Jerry you may have to spend more than $600K in free agency to get a good RT. Use the draft or free agency to strengthen the OLine. Example: if we find a starting RT in free agency then look at using a 2nd or 3rd round pick on strengthing the OLine. Stay away from scrubs with history of injuries. Look for guys that have started at least 2 years.

Collins will be a fine RT. He was playing better as the season went on and should be very good next year. OG is easier to fix than OT.

Cooper was also fine, if you can get him back on a decent deal, the OL should be great. The only real issue is LT and Smith's health. They need to bring in a quality vet OT IMO as a backup and possibly draft one in the middle rounds.
