Most Pressing Needs?

OL should be our top priority IMO. I know most like to blame every single sack on Dak but from my understanding only 16 were attributed to Dak holding on to the ball too long.
Yeah, our OL was not great.

Heath's extreme lack of lateral agility(the ability to turn w/o losing ground) makes him look like he's out of position.
Remember that S we drafted that had the same problem? He was tall and that made him desirable but he had long legs and couldn't adjust on the fly.

I'd like someone to ask Jerry to define "lateral agility".

As of now, we don't know which of our own FA's we re-sign but we have to assume they do not let Lawrence, Lord Byron, Swaim or Ladoce, Laduce, Ladace, the Long Snapper walk but it is a possibility R. Smith, Beasley and Austin do walk. Let's assume all 3 are gone.

This is my needs list with that assumption for either FA or the draft. Re-arrange your list and if there's a FA you've got your eye on, add him next to that need. I do think there might be a better chance to sign one or two significant FA's since they do not have a 1st rounder and need some players to step in and start. Obviously, that would affect the Draft Needs Board, coming later. And look for a thread coming soon, the ever popular Draft Game.

DT
S, Earl Thomas
OL
TE
RB/KR
WR/PR
DE

That's my 7 ranked in order of need, how about yours?

looks good coach. I have WR higher than TE if Beasley walks. Your ranking looks fair and I'll resist the urge to comment on ET

I'd take any of these positions at any point in the draft.

I wanted Lindsay bad. However, we decided instead to take a big RB who was in no way a threat to make the roster and does not play ST's. Yeah, that makes sense!!!!
I was completely at a loss that Lindsay went undrafted. Just goes to show, "the professionals" get a lot of stuff wrong.

Heath is playing out of position. You want him closer to the box not playing the single high. That’s why you go get thomas

Richardson is the top FA I want - the fact we were going to trade for him and Jones stated the "value just wasn't there" while giving away a first round pick for a WR is baffling to me. Either the Seahawks were asking for multiple first round picks, or we simply blew it there. Much rather have Richardson on this team than Cooper right now.

Richardson was with Minnesota in 2018, not Seattle, and I wouldn't give even one 1st round pick for Richardson. I would for Amari.

We didn't try trading for him while he was with the Vikings. I actually meant the Jets, since that's who was taking trade offers. Seahawks got him for a second round pick - which tells you how we value DTs.

And trading a first round pick for a first round WR that busted out with a team that used a first round pick on said receiver will always be stupid, especially an inconsistent WR.

Pat Watkins?

AOA had some coordination/agility issues also.

Both players biggest issue was mental-makeup.

most pressing need, trim the fat, our roster isnt strong enough to carry projects or wait for the unattable to continue to fail. Cut the fat, bring in everyone and cut the fat again. Good depth that wants and is ready to play when the time hits.

change the culture of the team, we have low standards and accept them, turn it around, clean it out or gut it. i dont care.

Clean all the gunk out, bring in everyone and anyone for competition, and make sure al the parts know tey have to work, under Garrett our Back up Qbs have been under used. change it.

Then you are comparing a decision made in early 2017 season to a decision made in mid 2018 season, which isn't apples to apples because needs were different at those times. And, for clarification. and what the Seahawks got him for was a 2nd round pick and Jermaine Kearse (not just the pick).

As for Cooper "busting out" with the Raiders, his first 2 NFLseasons, along with what he did after coming to Dallas, strongly indicates that the problem was with the 4-12 Raiders, and not with Cooper.

As for inconsistency, over his 6 seasons Richardson has gone from 3.5 sacks, to 8.0 to 5.0 to 1.5 to 1.0 to 4.5.

If you can run the ball and stop the run you will make the playoffs and have a chance. If you can't stop the run (Rams game) you will lose. Exceptions are if you have one of the top 2 or 3 QBs in the league like Mahomes, Eli or Rodgers. It all starts up front.

PREACH MY MAN!

He doesn't have the short area quickness for an in the box S.

I like Heath, but he's simply better as a STer/backup/nickel type.

I do think that Dallas needs a much better backup to Elliott than what they’ve had. They need someone that actually worries defenses, at least a little. A good back should be available in the 5th-6th round range.

Running team with 4 TEs, a zillions WRs, but only one rb we could possibly want on the field, at a position where you can get quality in the mid rounds.

Last decade, we've drafted 5 RBs.

The guys we drafted above the 5th round led the league in rushing. Murray was only a 3rd. A 5th turned out to be a violent career criminal, so maybe a whiff on the RKG. A 6th in Darius the Great, who we cut. A 7th with Bo, who we cut.

If you don't count the guys we cut their rookie seasons, it's 3 rb draft choices we've committed anything to in a decade. They love that whole bell cow thing, but bell cows tend to run out of juice come the playoffs. Murray certainly did.

Crazy talk. When heath can just worry about his job the guy is deadly. He can find the ball and hit with the best hitters in the nfl. Problem is woods made things difficult because he was out of position too much
