Most respected QB?

Which QB in the NFL is the most respected by his teammates? I'd have to say P. Manning, Brady, and Brees are ahead of Romo in that department, but is anyone else? You could say Favre but I think he might be a little too old and too far removed from his team to have the unquestioned respect of his teammates. Romo has to be in front of McNabb, but what about guys like Palmer, Schaub, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, etc?
 
P. Manning, Brees, and Brady are obviously no brainers. All classy, future HOFers.

The guy not on that list I'd go with is Aaron Rodgers. He sat patiently behind Favre for so many years without one complaint. Even when Favre was pulling his "I'm done, I'm back, I'm done, I'm back" nonsense, he kept his mouth shut and let the coaching staff decide who would play.

Great attitude and great skills.

(Plus I'm a Cal homer, but that's only a small reason I'm going with ARod)
 
have absolutely no respect for Brady, he's turned into a major prima donna pansy...whines and cries like there is no tomorrow play after play...thinks he should be protected by the zebras and lets them know about any time he is touched...absolutely love seeing him get jacked up
 
This is a question that really only the players can answer. How many times have we heard about how so-and-so was so respected by his teammates only to have a book come out 5-10 years later and it is a completely different story behind the scenes....

All you can do is worry about who "you" respect.

Some of the guys that you would think would be no-brainers can sometimes be the ones that guys just can't stand in the locker-room.

He's got the rings and he's treated like he's already in Canton.

As much as I hate the guy, he is a very hard worker.

He's always been so incredibly average at everything, that he's had to work his tail off to get to that point.

I hate the Pats, hate Bellicheat, hate their video cameras, and I hate Tom Brady.

But the dude grinds and thats why he's going to be a first ballot hall of famer with 3+ Super Bowls to his resume.
 
Since we are talking about who we think the players respect the most I am going to go with Brees first. Brady and Manning are pampered Superstars who probably don't really connect with their teammates all that well in the locker room.

I have to agree with the guy who put Rodgers name in the hat. I think he is respected by his teammates but he still has to produce in the playoffs to get their full respect. Romo is right there in that same catagory but I think they are both respected in the locker room.

It is hard to get a read on Palmer with all the drama in that locker room but I think he is likely respected as well. Had it not been for the dirty cheap shot on his knee by the Stealers in the playoffs a few years ago he would probably have more respect Nationally.

Rivers is a punk and I doubt that he is widely respected anywhere. Eli Manning...not really.

Rapistberger has no respect from anyone anymore.

I hate seeing him cry to refs every little time he's touched. League didn't care about low hits when Carson Palmer got his knee blown out, but sure as hell cared when Brady went down. They acted like they lost a national treasure.
 
Brady is a hard worker, but I think he may be losing respect amongst his peers, as the article posted previoulsy would lead you to believe, spending most of his time in california instead of around patriots' facilities during the offseason. I would have to go with Brees, Romo, or maybe Rodgers.

Brees: Clearly the most obvious case of players responding to a vocal QB leader... he's the best at what he does to inspire his guys in today's league (possibly ever... I'm only 22 so I can't really say).

Romo: when he's gone, the team is a different team. They're uninspired and almost downright pathetic.

Rodgers: The locker room split down the middle when Futer HOF'er Favre was flirting with retirement. Half wanted Favre-- half wanted Rodgers. Rodgers has since then proved he could play. I think his locker room loves him.

Who do I respect the most? Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning IS the colts offense.

You are aware though that there are teams in the NFL other then the Cowboys... some of them *Gasp* actually have better QB's and WR's than we do. put your boys at number one but at least attempt to wring that noodle for a couple of other QBS around the league.

Honestly he probably doesnt have any rings if not for the massive cheating the Pats did. Anybody that thinks the extent of the cheating was simply what was revealed in public is kidding themselves, it went alot deeper than that.

And again, how can anyone respect a whah baby prima donna who wants all the calls no matter how much it isnt warranted?

After the way he won the game vs. the Bears last year with one arm, I'll bet Stafford earned some big time respect in the Lion locker room.

Agreed. He's growing with his team so he'll probly be up there in this list if he ever gets them going.
