Many tiebreakers are going the Cowboys' way in the NFC East this season so far.
I haven't bothered looking up all the other tiebreakers because I think it very unlikely that a tiebreaker would still be undecided after conference record.
- Head-to-head: Because the Cowboys have now defeated every single NFC East rival (Eagles, Giants and Commanders) at least once this season, they therefore cannot possibly lose on a head-to-head tiebreaker against any of them - because even in the worst-case scenario, the Cowboys would be no worse than 1-1 against the Giants, Eagles and Commanders. Goes in favor of the Cowboys, for now......and cannot possibly go against them this season.
- Division record: The Cowboys are 3-0 in the NFC East. The Eagles are 2-1. The Commanders and Giants are both 0-2. Goes in favor of the Cowboys, for now.
- Common opponents: The Cowboys beat the Giants on win-loss record in common opponents played, 1-2 vs. 0-3. The Cowboys beat the Commanders on win-loss record in common opponents played, 1-2 vs. 0-1. The Cowboys are tied with the Eagles on win-loss record in common opponents played, 1-3 vs. 1-3. Goes in favor of the Cowboys against Giants and Commanders, but not against the Eagles........however, the Cowboys still hold the head-to-head and division record tiebreakers over the Eagles for now.
- Conference record: The Cowboys have a 4-0 record within the NFC. The Eagles have a 2-1 record within the NFC. The Commanders have a 1-4 record within the NFC. The Giants have an 0-4 record within the NFC. Goes in favor of the Cowboys, for now.
