Most worrisome injury? Spencer IMO...

I agree with most of you about Austin. It sucks, but we'll be ok until week 2 or 3 without him. T.O., Witten, Crayton, Hurd and Felix Jones will more than pick up the slack. But this deal about Spencer's knee concerns me. Hope it's really just a bruise. I will say this: I've had bone bruises that last for a month, and you just have to play through them. But the point is, we really need him to get his reps and to continue to improve. Pass rush is everything this year: especially if we meet the gspots in the playoffs again. (speaking of which, I hate more than anything in the world to admit this, but in watching the game vs. Cleveland last night you all have to say their interior line play is the difference in our two teams right now.) It SUCKS, guys, it hurts but it's the truth. I was going to make a seperate thread on it, but I knew 3/4 of the people in here would have kittens. Their o-line is vastly underrated and I don't know if we can get the kind of rush on Manning that we need to. Their d-line is also impressive and penetrates and wreaks havoc: the kind of line that gives romo fits: see Philly. Not trying to stir anything up, just telling the truth. I hate their guts, but it is what it us. They didn't luck into the S.Bowl as much as alot of people think that they did.

I think Spencer will be fine and thankfully we do have Ellis coming off his best season with double digit stats. The Austin injury while it does suck considering the improvements he was showing I think will at least open the door for Stanback to get more reps

I think Spencer just really knocked knees with someone - nothing internal from what I heard.

Hopefully he'll be okay, but we're so just damn deep in our front 7 that we should be fine for the time being. IMO, we're deeper there than at wide out, so the Austin injury is more concerning.

Yeah alby, that really sucks about Mile's knee. I wasn't downplaying it believe me: it's a setback, but we're deeper at receiver: counting our TE's and RB's than we are at LB: that was my long, rambling point.
